Need advice on racket selection

In an effort to find a more flexible racket (than Babolat PD that I've been using) that will ease the pain in my elbow, I've been trying out different rackets.

I'm now at a point where I'm not sure which type of racket will suit my style: heavier racket vs. lighter racket / larger head size vs. smaller head size. (As will be elaborated below, these classifications are all relative based on my preferences.)

A lighter racket (strung weight of 10.3 oz or less) seems to enable me to increase the swing speed, whereas with a heavier racket (strung weight of 11.2 oz or mroe), although I don't think I can swing as fast, the feel of the impact is better. Besides, from a purely physical perspective, momentum = mass x velocity, so a small loss of velocity of the racket head will be compensated for by it larger mass. (right?)

As to the racket head size, I had assumed that a bigger racket head (100 sq. in or more) with a larger sweet spot will be much more forgiving. To my surprise, rackets with smaller heads (98 sq. in or less) were just as easy to hit with and seemingly gave me a more focused impact.

In a nutshell, I'm in a dilemma. What should I use as guidance when choosing a racket when I find a little departure in the weight or head size in either direction satisfactory?

Of course, big, stiff rackets are for duffers who don't swing fast and play limited tennis, so avoid them.
If you really play tennis, stay under 100sq in and keep it soft and flexible. Don't care what company, use the softest they make, keep it around 12oz, and that's the best you can do. Like any men's pro, that's the average spec racket. They don't use big hoops, stiff hoops, or light hoops.
Ever figure out why?
