Need racquet suggestions.

Alright. I've been contemplating moving on from my current racquets, but everytime, after hitting them, I decide I can still game them. That was until after this week. My first real week of competitve tennis (I just joined a league). Hitting around and warming up was great, but during a match, I just felt the racquet was a little too heavy and the sweet spot just a little too small. Very demanding. Granted, I'm no where near the skill level I used to be years ago when i got these racquets, but seeing the different racquets that my opponents were playing, and holding them after holdin my own, I think it's time for me to move on.

My current racquets are Estusa Power Beams. It has a box beam cross section, I think there's fiber glass in the racquet, and I think it's 93 sq in. Very low powered. And very flexible.

I love the feel of this racquet. Anyone who's hit these would definitely know what I was talking about. So, given that I'm no longer in my 20's and my footwork and preparation isn't what it used to be, I'm looking for a higher powered racquet. Maybe around 100 sq in, although I never was too successful with an oversize. I used to have some 95 sq in. sticks and was ok with them. A little lighter than the racquet I have no (I have no idea how heavy my estusas are. Maybe over 12 ounces?), but not one of these super light racquets either (these racquets tend to make me a little "wristy") I can sacrifice a little feel for more power, but don't want a still boardy racquet either, like my yamaha secret 04 back in the day. I also like that "plow through" feeling that my current racquest has too.

SO basically something a lot more powerful, a little lighter, still on the flexible side, and around 100 sq. in. Any suggestions?

Give the babolats a shot. Nadals frame is relatively powered with good spin as is the roddick frame. So many versions of the roddick you can choose which weight you want. You could also try the head radical oversize line.

I wouldn't go too powerful / light. That won't be good for your game.

Dunlop 4D 500 tour. For me, fat better than the babolats. Much more feel and control. I've tried basically every similar racquet and this just kills for me:).

Hello,

Not sure if you are interested, but I bought 2 liquidmetal radical from TW and they are really nice to customize. Stock they are around 11 oz and I didn't really care for how they hit, it just felt "off" for some reason and a bit tinny.

I put silicone in the handle and lead at 12 oclock, put a head leather grip on and it brought the weight up just over 12 oz with a head light balance around 7 or 8. The racquet was totally transformed and played wonderfully and did not feel heavy at all. Great plow through, very manuverable, and arm friendly. And the price is fantastic!

Hello, the Babolat AeroPro Team GTcould be good for you. It has a 100 sq. inch head size and it gives you good spin and it still produces quite a bit of power. Try it out!
