Need some help finding a midplus racquet

Hello!

I'm 18 years old and a begineer/intermediate player looking for a mid-plus racquet with a strung weight around 300g and with a 98/100 square inch head (good control without having to sacrifice a lot of power).

Im 90% baseliner with a fairly good two-handed backhand.

I've been looking at some racquets: Head MicroGel Instinct, Wilson (K) Pro Open, Prince O3 Speedport Black, Dunlop Aerogel 4D 300 tour.

Any recommendations? Answers much appreciated.

check out the yonex rds 003. 100 sq in. plenty of room on the grip for 2 hands.

Another vote for Yonex RDS003. It's got plenty of power and good spin potential with the open string pattern and it's easy to wield. Big sweetspot. Demo!

After awhile I decided to buy the RDS003. I was pretty beginner back then but with it's help I've developed better strokes. It's a great racquet to consider.

Yep your best bet is to demo a bunch of racquets. Im a 4.5 player and ive been using the same racquet (although ive tried others) since I was a 3.0. Im an all court player but I like to stick to the baseline.

I use the head liquidmetal radical (agassi's raquet). Pretty balanced racquet. Medium weight, decent power, and lots of control. Its an older model too so you can save some green. They are only 70 bucks I think.

You don't need to buy the most recently released versions of racquets to get great results...think about dropping back a generation for more bang for the buck. At your level spending top $ for a just released frame is overkill...

Check out the previous generations of the frames you have mentioned or were recommended. They will be less expensive and excellent options. TW stocks and sells racquets from the previous generation for many of it's vendors, and the For Sale section here will have used examples available well.

I think I'll go with the Yonex RDS 003. 99 euro on TW pretty nice price. I might want to check out the head liquidmetal radical (nice review on TW).

Any recommendations on what strings to use with thoes?

I use pure syn gut on my LM radical. My favorite is gamma live wire. Nice feel, decent resiliance, decent price . . . I break strings every 10-15 hours of play so I can't afford expensive strings.

I would definately hit with the racquets before buying. Yonex may be hard to find but almost every tennis shop ive been to demo's head liquidmetals.

Yonex RDS 003, Boris Becker Pro or the Dunlop 4D 300, that's the question...? I can't really demo from where I live so...

RDS-003 - Control, maneuverable, no feel.

Just pulling out this out.
Dunlop 4D 300 seems to be a control and spin stick from the TW reviews.
BBPro seems to be more spin and power.

Id try the Liquidmetal Instinct before the MG instinct, it has a better feel and more pop to it. Just one mans opinion.
