hi my names chris and im 17.i got a bro whos 6 and wants to start playing tennis more.thing is my family right now cant afford lessons/training for him right now,im hopin next year ill have enough money to put him through lessons for a few months.they can barely afford my lessons let alone his.so im hopin in the summer when im not playin to train him.hes a natural athlete but mainly wants to play football and tennis.ive played with him before and he hits pretty well i mean i havent seen any 6 year olds hit but from the looks of it.hes usin a spalding junior wooden racket right now because i noticed his form improves better with that then some light wilson crap lol.he is gettin a babolat junior racket thats heavier then the wilson so hell probably end up goin with that.he tries hard and enjoys playing especially when u say he does well.only thing is if at times he doesnt do well he gets pissed or starts crying.usually more pissed.was wondering if any of u guys know how i can get him to not get upset when he may not be doing something right and good ways to train him.like drills and such.this last summer we usually just hit from the service box or id have him volley.yeah if any of u guys could help that be great. oh and how can i start him to serve cause i believe thats his biggest problem yet.

I want to get and train my sister who's 10 to play some tennis and I have a simlar problem with the lessons too but she's one of those who will play better with a lighter racquet rather than a heavier one. I plan on just feeding her balls by keeping it easy to help her stay confident then start increasing difficulty.

For the serve, if your coach hasn't showed you this, I'd recommend using this to help your brother serve. I used this when I was first starting to play a year ago(I'm 13) and he started me around the service box and made me serve like normal, trying to hit it near the baseline. Then he moved me in the middle on no man's land and made me serve again. Then he would make me go to the baseline and finally serve and this helped me get a sense for how to hit it and helped me stop hitting into the net more as well as hitting it more accurate.
