Thanks for your projections!
I can also imagine an orange-white pj, maybe kinda close to the Instinct. However, I think it may look a little like a junior or - please do excuse me - lady racket... Orange has been the color for quite some time, so tradition could be the argument here. But it used to be yellow-black, which of course they won't go back to because it's now the color combo of the Extreme. On the other hand, I do think that a little more color variety would be good for Head's racket line up, so enter green, which would be a new trend (with apologies to Völkl's OX 7), as there are not too many green rackets out there.
With regard to increasing beam width, I (and everyone else 10 metres away) can read HEAD alright on my 21.5 mm YT(IG) Radicals, so no need to go any further ;-)
Someone in another thread (too lazy to look it up) suggested that Head increased the beam width of the Speed line rackets so they can position the Radical as a more classic, but lighter, tour racket in comparison to the Prestige. I'd definitely love to see that.
Put simply, Head would then have the...
- Prestige: classic, thin-beamed, heavy player's rackets
- Radical: classic, thin-beamed, light player's rackets
- Speed: modern, medium thick beam, player's rackets
- Extreme: modern, player's widebody racket #1
- Instinct: modern, player's widebody racket #2
In the end I do guess that the predictions for orange/white and a thicker beam will probably come true, but a guy can dream, no? ;-)
