New Head Racquet

This is not directed at @vsbabolat, but I find it funny how Head Fanboys look at the CAP system as the Holy Grail that is the cherry on top of a "pro level frame." If Head threw CAP bumpers on the Speed Graphene 360, and called it something else they could create a pre-order extravaganza!
Not true at all. I’m not a HEAD fan but as I hate every frame they currently sell. I think the Touch Prestige MP has CAP grommets, Graphene Radical line can be had with C.A.P. System grommets, and the IG Speed Pro had C.A.P. System grommets and hated that racquet I dislike all of them. So there goes that theory.

I don’t find CAP System grommets as the holy grail. I find it a good and innovated design that I like to have on my racquets. It does protect the frame from court rash very well.

No, we wouldn't...what we, "Head fanboys" look after is a low flex frame, thin beam and a tight string pattern. A glossy paintjob and CAP grommets would also be great.

Everything you said plus a graphene free stick.

Actually i would not care about the PJ or CAP grommets, although it would be nice to have them. But i couldn't like anything with graphene yet.

To be honest, if you ignore the brand, the Wilson Ultra Tour 97 is everything i would like in a new head racquet.

Some of the Graphene paint jobs have been cool. I have a couple of Prestige Classic 600 and Pro Tour 630’s in Graphene paint job and they are awesome. HEAD is still capable of manufacturing good racquets. They just don’t want to sell good racquets anymore

The last head racquet I used was the youtek ig prestige mp and thought it was great. What happened with the graphene that made everyone change their minds?

That website is wrong. I own the racquets and put the Touch Graphene Prestige MP grommets in a PT57A. No matter what racquet I use I’ll still play better than you.
I was just busting your chops dude, lol, but why is it that they’re listed at 98 but are actually 95, I know paintjobs will lie but on most sites they list it as 98 just odd

Oh, i like some graphene PJ a lot, ex: Radical 360, Speed 360, Graphenext Prestige, Touch Prestige. I just don't like how they play.

IG was the last iteration i liked, played with IG radical MP, IG prestige MP and IG Speed MP 18x20, liked all of them. Speaking from my experience with graphene frames, they lack feel, they are stiff, hollow and gives the impression that they were built with low quality materials.

Did you demo the current Speed MP or Pro? One of the best selling racquets in US and worldwide at the moment. Cannot be that bad.

Yes, played with the Speed PRO, and prefer by far the IGs Speed i still have. Don't get me wrong i am not saying they are bad racquets, i just said that personally i don't like them. I am sure a lot of people like the graphene racquets.

Racquets with grommets that extend all the way down on the exterior of the racquet, but which don't pinch shut, are the best of both worlds.
I absolutely love the look of them though! Those old sparkly maroon Prestiges are some of the most aesthetically pleasing racquets ever!

I currently have the racquet in my possession. I am about to string it up with Velocity at about 53lbs. It is the Pro. I hit with a demo version on Friday and its surprisingly flexible. I currently play with a Prestige MP that weighs 359g. This racquet felt very easy to hit.

Can you tell the head size?

One thing I hate that Head is doing a lot of lately (amongst an endless list of other terrible decisions) is making the throat bridge very thin on so many of their frames. The only reason I can think of for Head to do this is to skew RA numbers. (I’m happy to be proven wrong). But if true, even for Head lately, that’s pretty “shystie.” Just sayin...

Why isn't Sverev already using it? Head should take advantage of RG and make some noise in the market. Maybe they do that in Wimbledom.

because the racquet is supposed to be a secret until July. I can't even post a picture on here or social media about it. Focus of RG is the new Radical.

It is the same mold as the original Youtek Speed. The Gravity Pro is going to be Zverev's actual racquet which is based on the original Youtek Speed Pro. Zverev is going to be endorsing this Gravity line

How it is supposed to be secret when there are pictures of the racquet all over the internet? Head even made an event to show it. Maybe they didn't had time do paint Sverev's racquets? Maybe, but he was losing so early on clay season that if they wanted, they should had the time for it.

It makes sense though to focus on the new radical at RG if they bring the Gravity at wimbledom.

There are some good players using MXG in action. Danish doubles player and wimbledon-winner Frederik Nielsen use the MXG frame. Goran Ivanisevic use it when he play matches. Swedish former Top 10 player Thomas Enqvist use it nowdays in the German league in competition matches so it´s a good frame! I would presume if they just painted the throat black or not made it hollow these frames would have been a different saga

So? great Fossilized players of last century and a few doubles Danish pastries. My father uses it to whip 75+ year old players all over Australia but that doesnt its as useful as swinging with a stick made from Jimi Hendrix petrified turds. Before his 30 year hiatus from tennis he used a Wilson Sting to beat himself versus my mother.

Many players go through delirium in their careers but Rafa trying the MXGero stick was as close as he got
to looking for another level in a tennis midlife crisis just like Nole trying out Pepe.
Healthy Ferrer ended his career as soon a he went swinging a Babolat extended with a pogo stick.

Good sneaky effort by Wilson for making that classic feeling of those Austrian made Head racquets not available for retail from Head anymore.
Babolat`s new Pure Strike is also heading in that direction for Thiem albeit a tad more spin and pop than an Ultra.
All 21mm good feel but PS for younger market that wants more spin and pop, while the slightly less spin more flex ultra for the oldies.

Have you tried any MXG racquet?

Yes unfortunately, horrible things no better than Kmart 20 dollar specials from china
In fact a Chinese aluminum $10 unit had more flex and spin than this Foobar till I warped it.
I even played with a Gamma big bubba for Sheets and giggles once and that was better
and the only thing that Ive ever managed to serve 6 aces with sadly.
My father played most in the late 60s, 70s and 80s with aluminum frames with plastic throats
A Limbless challenged person with robot arms has more feel than he posesses
