Ljubicic to Head???????

Anybody heard anything about this? Heard from a head salesman here in Oz that Ivan will be using a new Head racquet at the Oz open.

Really? Nadal? I'm sure he could adapt perfectly fine to Head racquets if you give him time, but it would be so weird seeing him play with...let's say for example, a 93sq. inch, dense pattern Flexpoint! I just have a hard time picturing him holding it.

Yeh i'm sure he would do fine with one over time but then again, I thought Ferrero would too

I heard from another member of the board that Head were trying to get Nadal around about August time but it looks like things didn't work out.

I suspect that with Agassi's retirement Head were looking to get a young star for the future and Nadal would be at the top of their list. With all the money that they have to spend on sponsorships they must of thought hey, why not try and get Nadal.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

probably easy for head to make an instinct set up like a pure drive so makes sense a player like ljubicic would be able to switch without too much bother.

When you saw Agassi and his wierd head, you were immediately reminded of the 'Head' brand. Ljubicic, with his wierd head is the perfect replacement. So, it makes perfect sense, to me.

He wouldn't have to use the 93 square inch Prestige. Head must have a bunch of Agassi's old racquets -- Nadal could use them.

I cant think of what frame Nadal or Lju would play with, the closest would most likely be the Instinct, but really that frame isnt anything compared to a PD or APD.

I mean the Prestige has safin, guge and top players using it. The Instinct needs some big players (besides Baby Fed) using it

Check the pictures at the Tennis Magazine website, the racket has the same color as the miskina´s shown in another thread. An it does not look like a PD with a paintjob.

No I don't believe it is Metallix. I have heard it is called Pro Extreme something.
