New tennis center planned for Roswell, GA

How about using some of the money to refurbish and maintain existing courts, paying a stipend to pros to organize events and kids camps. Public courts that aren't supervised soon fall into disrepair and are vandalized. Why build new courts when many that exist are in disrepair?
Personally, I would not want to play at a facility of this magnitude--too impersonal--the costco of tennis facilities.

Not at the originally planned location. I'm optimistic they'll find a place to put it, because I'd love all that clay in one place.

They will not build the facility at this moment. There were so many questionable things with this project.
city members tried to pass this project but Roswell residents were very organized to block this project and we are try to find a way to make big creek as “passive park” the way it is used now but it will be very tough since only one city council member try to make the proposal as “passive park”. The other city council members and mayor try to sell this property. They are talking about other places but it will be very small size so it won’t be possible to build over 60 courts max so A little doubtful that Krause family wants to build their tennis facility for those possible areas.
City council meeting did not look good....

Unfortunately Roswell residents need to fight with this issue for 4 years since she just elected Roswell mayor in this year......
