New Wilson Sting

I received an email from my local racquet retailer, and he says that there will be a new version of the Wilson Sting coming out soon. It will be an all new design with a 100 sq. inch head, and I'm guessing it will be called a K-Sting or something. I'm also pretty sure it will have the trademark crossbar stabilizer as well. Anyone else heard about this and have more info or pics?

Wow, never expected the Sting to resurrected (assuming the rumor is true).

I remember it was popular, but I don't know if it would be considered a classic. I use to have one as a kid, and my teammate had a Sting 2.

Next, they should introduce the K-Ultra 2

WOW. A totally unexpected resurrection. A friend of mine still uses it. He'll definitely check it out.

Sounds like the new Sting is going to be a cheap model sold in mainstream sporting good stores and places like Target for recreational players. Too bad.

I would love to see a K-Ultra 2, but the Sting was one heavy stick.

Discontinuing a racquet after a year has passed wouldn't seem like a very smart move...There are plenty of racquets that are still available that were released last year so I don't think they'll pull the K 6.1 95 off the shelves...

kSting - 105 sq in and 9.2 ounces unstrung

That is really disappointing if true. I was hoping for a PD killer with some old school look and feel. Guess Wilson thinks anyone old enough to remember the Sting needs a gramps stick.

The headsize is incorrect above. It was 85 sq. in. just like the PS mids. In fact, the same "22D 1615" grommets were used in the Sting mids.
