Couldn't have put it better myself hitman just for once again in a world of chaos good to know that there is one thing we can count on and that is Novak edging further and further away from his rivals and towards true greatness.

I feel one of his strengths is precisely to always have pressure and deliver: it's because almost every match he plays is extremely significant in terms of legacy that he is dialled in to give 110% each time (even if he's not playing 100%). The other players aren't playing for a record-breaking stat in almost every match they play, but Djokovic is, and that's what is helping him (I think) achieve other short, medium and long-term goals. If he wasn't absolutely dialled in to clinch the 8th year-end #1, he probably wouldn't have played with the intensity he needed to win today, which in turn opens up the possibility of progressing even further in this tournament and looking forward to another record at the end of it. I think this is one of the reasons why he's still winning so much at his age; it's almost as if, at this point in his career, he's finally been able to put himself in the position he most relishes, which is every match being tantamount to a final (and not just a final, but a final to end all finals). The one glaring exception to this rule is, of course, that US Open final loss against Medvedev.

What an extraordinary comeback by Earth's Mightiest Warrior in 2023.

He brought the tennis world to justice and forced them to answer for their crimes committed in 2022.
  • Undefeated in Australia.
  • Undefeated in United States.
  • Reclaimed the Slam record in the robber's den.
  • Reclaimed the #1 spot from the other robber. Sorry Karl )=

It's absolutely hilarious that he went undefeated in Australia and the US this year after not being allowed to play last season.

His AO run was just pure anger as well. He was slapping forehands for winners whenever he felt like it.

And Djokovic continue his reign as the most disliked and repugnant #1 since Marcelo Rios.
EDIT: Actually Rios played a likable and entertaining brand of tennis, making up for whatever people thought of him personally.

What's this fedocentric discussion. He is not the goat even. Nadal's record vs him doesn't matter anymore.

Nadal fans thought it would matter when they thought only fed will be the goat and Nadal would have a consensus of being better due to H2H.

Hey this is 2023. These two are behind Nole now. And Nadal doesn't even have a consensus of being better due to his losing H2H.

What goes around comes around and for Nadal fans it's bitter pill to swallow but it was on the cards as early as 2011 when Nole started to get in contention of both records and h2hs so you fans can't be too surprised either.

You are tryingtoo hard to convince that Djokovic is goat. Most successful statistically definitely. Greatest is subjective but i see on socials more claims made for Nadal and Federer. 16 of Novaks 24 majors came post 2014 which was when the best of Fedal had long gone.

This is so true the most hated super successful player... I don't hate him but I understand it, something is quite repulsive about him
