Novak's reaction after winning the match...

Novak had literally all the reasons to have an over the top reaction and yet he did not.

The opponent he was beaten, the importance of this match in general, on top of all the effort he had to put in.

It just goes to prove what his current attitude toward tennis is.

This is a massive result at this point, but Novak refuses to take it for granted.

He sees the big picture, in which this kind of results should be common for him and he works hard to make that a reality.

I believe it's the right path for Novak and gosh what an amazing start would be for Djoko if he lifts the trophy tomorrow.

After a brutal fight for 5.5 hours against the most intense player in history, you can forgive him for not over the top celebration.

He was in that zone still.not relaxed

It’s a semi, not a final. Fed almost never celebrates any win unless it’s the final. Most ATG’s aside from Rafa don’t do over the top celebrations in semis, no matter how tough the match was.

Djoker took a ton of (deserved) criticism with his Madrid final celebration over Rafa some years ago and he doesn’t act the fool anymore against him when he wins. That’s the prudent thing to do.

I think it's a good thing that he didn't. It shows his focus. He knows there's work to be done tomorrow. He isn't getting ahead of himself. That's a good sign, for me.

Partially Disagree with you. It was a semi all right but Do you remember djokers celebration after 2013 Wawrinka win.

Today I just knew he wouldn't celebrate. He was so intense throughout. You need that when u had to play above Ur level and beat nadal

Should have done one of these

Boo. Should have made a tremendous roar.

Recognise what it means to take that man down.
Heart of a champion and nerves of steel. What
it means to win in this place.

"Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no man. I will be the Champion of the World on Sunday. Try as you may, you will not deny me, old bull."

He fully derserves the trophy.
True but I would want Anderson to whom this is the opportunity of a century, era, golden, diamond platinum whatever you can call it, win. If he lets this slip he will never win a Grand Slam again. Novak will more for sure. I think he will save it for the Australian open :p:D:D

As a Fed fan I am not rooting for Anderson just yet, because he snatched the QF from Fed. Look how the other half played out I can’t help wonder if Fed has won thw QF in 3, he would have handled Isner easily. Then he would be facing an exhausted Nole (or Nadal) in he final.

Also he hasn't won anything in 2 years. He is still in fighting back phase, not when he was ruling

He is no longer the cocky Novak of old.
He is now humble Novak. Two years of struggle has made him that
