Now it is clear that Djokovic made decision to stop working with Vajda, not the other way around.

“It was a combination of various reasons: we have been together for a really long time and his decisions showed that he wanted to focus on Grand Slam tournaments – that is why he might think that it is not ideal to have so many people in his team. He wanted to reduce it and have only one coach. “I don’t know for sure, because I never asked him, but I assume from my analysis of his tournament schedule, that he wanted to reduce his team, and he chose Goran Ivanisevic. It did not make sense for a coach to coach him only him on Grand Slams, because a coach needs a long-term plan”.

EDIT: The point of the post is to dispel the myth that Vajda "dumped" Djokovic as many TTW posters were claiming.

People (NoleFam) saying there's no bad blood are insane.

Vadja's quote says "I don't know for sure, because I never asked him."

That means they are not on speaking terms, and that Vajda was notified of his departure by someone else in the team.

I mean I aint a Novak fan but this whole thing is blown way out of proportion. People move on from coaches all the time. For whatever reasons.

But what if Vajda went to coach Nadal instead? He hasn't, but he could do. Then he would tell Nadal all of Djokovic's secrets on how to beat him.

Vajda still has a great relationship with Novak. He was his guest in Belgrade during the ATP250 tournament not so long ago. No bad blood here.

Novak is an emotional headcase. Leave him alone and he implodes. Vajda was key to his success throughout his career - a strong presence. He was dumped previously and Novak went downhill.
