The now deleted nyta username deserves a tribute thread.
What's your most remarkable nyta moment?

Well he helped me get started correcting my serve. That would probably be the best moment. I haven't been here long so there is no worst moment.

Recommended a great back massager which I now happily own.

He's so positive he even liked TTPS!

Lot of people who personally know him are still here. Any idea why he left the forum?

I do remember him saying he was going to quit a few months ago. Don't recall the specifics or the reasons for making statements along those lines.
(Completely deleting the account? No, there has to be a better way)

He shared his knowledge freely and was a great resource. Hopefully he'll be back.
Said ttps was a good guy in real life, just misunderstood here not translating over in the forum.

I'm probably biased because I agreed with him [and vice versa] more than any other poster but I think he was perceptive in his observations of tennis and he avoided most of the snark wars that frequently consume threads.

Thanks to something nyta wrote, I never go through a session of tennis anymore without serving at least 15 or so minutes. That has probably helped my serve as much as any technical fixes suggested by youtube coaches (almost seems like if you hit a lot of serves with a loose arm your body eventually figures out the details while the mind aims)

I need to start doing the same thing for my overhead.

He was a sh1tty player. He didn’t know what he was talking about. He was arrogant, he was disrespectful. His serve was like a beginner’s. He was short, he was... and I doubt he has the balls to come back and prove me wrong!!!
Well this time your being sarcastic for sure

Don't quote me but I heard something like since FireFTW left, he said life has little meaning anymore. Later he said he's gonna use that feeling to audition for Brokeback Mountain 2.

(Really...don't quote me on this...)

Because each of his points is the exact opposite of what I observed reading his threads. Guy is a class act, and curious is smart guy who would have recognized it. Kind of surprised your asking.

I asked because I had him in my ignore list lately. I could have said what curious said (without being sarcastic)

Long live mini tennis! One of the few that understood its benefits.
Oh yeah! Thanks to nyta, I now hit loopy spinny balls in mini tennis that get up to a comfortable height for the opponent. short backswing, normal follow through was his oft repeated mantra. My volleys have also gotten better since he posted and explained that rod laver punch through the ball excerpt.

This is what I posted,

Why are you misrepresenting me, you dmbfck?

It's fun to put words in people's mouth and watch them explode and have them spew what's really in their mind , just like you did here.

ATP..I remember the thread where you and NYTA disagreed. Most of us have not had any problems with him, and personally I thought he was one of the nicest guys here. Let's not change other poster's posts just because you have a personal problem with someone.

You lack all credibility as time passes

Hey, I'm not resorting to profanity and I'm enjoying a bit of humor without getting my blood pressure up.
To seriously answer your question on credibility - there is going to be 50 percent of folks who will not agree with someone else's opinion. That does not stop folks from expressing what they believe in. You got to learn to live with differences because there's a lot in common than you realize. If you like to resort to name calling and curse words, it's your upbringing and personal choice.

I don't recognize "curse" words. There's your 50%. Sorry if your upbringing caused you to misinterpret what I posted.

I hope it wasn't what @ByeByePoly said to him in the roast thread. :censored:
What was it that he said?

lol ... nyta retreating from any ttw jousting ... never going to happen. @Curious gets it in his post above ... hope it works and brother nyta comes back immediately. Actually, what I hope even more is everything is good at the nyta house. Class act (y)... at least I hope so ... he knows where I live. :p

And for the record ... if anyone should quit because of my "roast comments", it should be brother @ChaelAZ. 8-B

He advised me on sunglasses for tennis. I ended up going with a cheap (fake) version of his recommendation.

Good luck man. You are my motivation to up my tank top and shirtless moments and find a Richard Simmons leotard so tight my beans and frank wave at you during a whole video....while using frying pan serves, POMO forehands, and real 1HBHs.

For NYTA, bummed he took leave, but understandable and hoping it isn’t something in his personal life. I liked his approach to coaching and think we aligned on a lot of things. Definitely was good at making people consider alternatives and sharing insights.

Lucky you, he didn't offer you advice on how to play tennis. You can live with cheap sunglasses - but not cheap playing style and strategy.

Rest assured ... even if I quit posting, I would be reading ttw for the beans and frank gold!!!

Be honest, you're just jealous that no one would notice if you left TTW. HAHAHAHA

You are a smart person to say the least. (case in point - you listened to nyta on choice of sunglass and possibly the hat, the sweatband and the color of the bandana but didn't read his words on playing part of tennis).
You are probably right - nobody would notice if I left. And that's one more reason for me to stick around as leaving would not make any difference to others (sure, it would give me a lot of time do other things than writing 'humor' here).

I bet NYTA is reading the forum as an unsigned guest and I know how is feeling about this thread ... he has to prove it if he is not reading anymore.

I was just about to type the same thing ... "nyta, if you are reading ... you got a ttw food fight on your tribute thread .... WINNING!!!"

Always suspected nyta had some tiger blood in him.
