Old Gamma Progression Fixed Clamps

Hi all,

I have an old gamma progression (6pt mounting and fixed clamps). The fixed clamps are composite and they are getting pretty worn down and slipping whenever i try to string a polyester string. I'm thinking about replacing them? Where is the best place I can buy them for cheap or is there any method that I can fix them up? Will eagnas fixed clamps fit into a gamma fixed clamp base?

I also have a klippermate and the metal clamps are easily cleaned to perfect working order with rubbing alcohol. Is there any trick like that with composite clamps?

Thanks for all the help!

try opening them and cleaning them with a toothbrush and some rubbing alcohol, then readjust them to hold the string as tight as they can without deforming/damaging/denting/crushing the string.

If that doesn't work, contact Brett at Gamma and order a replacement pair of clamps.

It's doubtful that the Eagnas clamps will have the same diameter shaft....

thanks rich for the help. you can try paint thinner too or a polishing stone (MPS). If that doesn't work they are wear items so you'll have to buy new ones.

our clamp diameter is 12mm.
