One piece starting crosses

Hi i'm doing a one-piece string job.

I've tied off my short side mains and i'm about to start the long side crosses.

Tell me if this is wrong:

I will weave my first string, then weaved the second. (one ahead)

I will pull tension on the first string, clamp, then weave the third string and so on until i'm ready to tie off.

Just want to double check there are no starting knots, clamps, or hard weaves that i might miss.

Sorry, i'm doing my first ever racket on Gamma Progression ST II.

Depends, If you are stringing a Head, Prince, or Yonex, and some others, and the mains are ending at the throat, they are very specific to have the cross strings strung from the head to the throat, (top down).
Stringing one ahead makes the job much easier, although not necessary, you will see that as you install them, as to why. You are correct, no starting knots on a 1 piece. I don't use a starting knot even on a 2 piece as I use a starting clamp technique, but that is just preference on a 2 piece.

Many thanks.

I'm stringing wilson and the mains ended in the throat, so i'm stringing crosses from the throat up.

Now, i've read that's not advised in some threads, but as its a fairly cheap racket and my first job, i'm not wholly concerned.

If your mains end in the throat, you don't have to start stringing the crosses from the throat up. You could use the universal around-the-world pattern so that you start the crosses at the top with the last cross already woven (along the bottom). YuLitle has a video about the universal ATW pattern on YouTube somewhere. Basically you would just take the last main on the short side and run it across the bottom-most cross and then up the other side as the outer most main. The only tricky part is making sure you know how many crosses the racquet has so you weave the crosses correctly.
