Where an out of shape women at about 45% of what she once was, who looks at tennis these days as a part time hobby, can still have a chance of winning her 3rd slam of the year and even had a shot of winning all 4 this year since the other women are so bad they still cant beat her.

That can happen in ATP too, if all you play are slams. For example on ATP, slam win = 2000 pts. 3 slams = 6000 pts. Currently Novak at #4 has 7660 pts.
Heck, even if you win all 4 = 8000 pts, you would still not be #1 (Murray has not won a slam and is sitting at 9610 pts).
