Please help contribute - my racket museum

Hi everyone,

I'm coming up with a museum on my web-site ... OK ... it's just to show the younger generations pics of older rackets that I have (and of those who are willing to contribute) with some stories of them.

Pictures of the rackets I can take, but I have not their "history".

So, this is where I need your help. Any information from their years of production to players who use them or whatever information you find "nice" to be made known will be very much appreciated.

I'll be posting may be one racket or a couple of rackets at a time and I will ask for your knowledge of the racket(s) that I will be posting at a time.

If possible, I would like to have your real names to give you credit as contributors. If you feel uncomfortable to post your identity in the thread, please email me at "anirutbox a.t yahoo dot com".

I'd highly recommend combing through many of the older classic racquet threads (many still in the other forum).

VSBabolat and Retrowagen, to name a couple of TT members, have posted extensively on tennis/racquet history (especially Head and Dunlop). Many of those stories/info followed or accompanied racquet pics that other TT members posted.

Do a search for VSBabolat, Retrowagen, etc. (other classics experts will pop out as you read through their threads/posts).

The 200G PROIII is really quite rare. If anyone wants to sell one (please note needs the III on it), will pay a nice high price! A really fantastic Racquet!!!

I like the idea as well. There are three online sites right now. The individuals who researched and created them deserve serious grants and endowments, as the sights are so insanely superb, with scholarly research that has helped immensely to popularize our vintage racquet world.

the racquet is no longer with me and i sold it BN, but the buyer is Jimbo333 (something like that) andhe uses it, so he might be able to get you some info!

when i find time i will let you know my measurement and info of a Pro tour 690 i have wich i think is somewhat rare!

wood teenis, 80's tennis, tennis history dot AU, top 3 vintage sites, A+ research, outstanding historic and photo references...to think of what these folks went through to create such superb, amazing scholarly sites, I hope they still love racquets as much as I do, my racquets inspire me and bring me serious joy!!!!

This is to confirm that by Friday, March 20, 2009, the museum section on my website will be up and running with at least 3-4 racket models.

I just got 10 more rackets on Monday: the Rossi F330, Spalding CG20 & 30, Yamaha's 45, 45L (lady), 65, 75 and YFG30L (lady), PK Composite Dominator and PK Ace Lite.

Gosh! It's a high-expense, no-pay and tiring work. But I'm glad that I'm leaving something behind for the world to see.
