Poly Tour Drive - Thoughts

A few of my players recently have been trying out Yonex Poly Tour Drive and reporting back a lot of positives about it. I know there was some discussion when it was (re)release this year along with new VCores.

Unfortunately, I'm not playing at the moment due to injury. What are the reports back from anyone who has used this new(?) Poly Tour Drive.

Good string. Feels and plays a lot like durafluxx but doesn’t hold tension as well.

How many hours do you get out of it before it snaps or needs to be cut out?

I found the tension loss to be pretty bad. Durafluxx held tension much better and remained playable for over twice as long. I tried both strings in a 2022 Ezone100

My new frame: ezone 98 with poly tour drive silver 23 kg. Have never been able to generate such massive balls. Not with my prestige (ofcourse) and not with the babolat aero 2023 with rpm blast (which is surprising for a spin racket+string). I was blasting balls bouncing higher than my opponents height at his backhand. I would’ve cried if I was bullied this much lol

Poly Tour Drive is horrible. Stiff, Dead, Plasticky and Lifeless are words that I would use to describe it.

wow our experiences are so different. what string would you recommend then?
