Prediction: Alcaraz will have a negative H2H with Djokovic

I think when Djokovic retires Alcaraz will have a negative H2H with him. He just can't help choking when he plays against Djokovic. I'm starting to think the Wimby win was a fluke. He is not as mentally strong as some give him credit for, he often chokes on the big points, like BPs and MPs. If you only count their three last matches, their H2H is actually in Djokovic's favor. People said after Wimby that Alcaraz would always beat Djokovic from now on, that he would have beat him in RG if he didn't cramp etc. It looks like that was wrong. Rune actually has a better H2H now.

What do you think, will Alcaraz end with a negative H2H against him? Will he be Djokovic's pigeon? And if so will it affect his legacy that he couldn't beat a 36 year old?

Alcaraz needs to figure out how to play effective, percentage tennis and peak during crucial moments. The talent is very obviously there. The temperament though is still a bit hot and cold and immature, reflective of his age I guess. As to his H2H against Novak, as long as he holds his focus in important moments and plays his game without being too spooked by the soap opera going on the other side of the court, he’ll be fine and will have a positive H2H when Novak retires.

Not a chance.

I fully expect Alcaraz to have a sizeable lead over Djokovic, Alcaraz is only going to get better while Djokovic is only going to get worse. They are at the crossroads right now, where their equals, but both are heading in opposite directions.

I genuinely feel bad for the moaners here who crib about Tennis today all the time. This phase of them being at the crossroads will go down as a memorable part of today's tennis. Enjoy it while you still can.

Exactly, it isn't going to last.

I don't think it'll be a sizeable lead to be honest, they may not meet as often as we hope for (at least not outside Slams)
It depends on how long Djokovic plays

They will play a handful of times yet, because sooner or later, Djokovic's ranking will start to fall, meaning they will play more frequently in earlier rounds.
