Prestige 2021 Pro Stock Mold, and Similar Ones.

I recently got the 2021 Prestige Pro, as well as the 2022 Speed Pro, as I loved the latter when demoing. After playing a bit with both, I always end up with the Prestige because I just cannot give up the precision, feel, and ability to swing freely, even if it means less free power, depth, and spin. To prefect the setup, it has made me curious to look into Pro stocks. I would love something soft (sub-62 RA), 98 sq inch head, 21mm beam max, but maybe a 16x19, or less dense 18x20. is there a pro stock mold of the PP2021 with a 16x19, or other similar molds to fit the bill?

Thanks!

The pro stock TGT 345.2 has a 16x19 string pattern, it could be a good option.
Btw, It would be nice to have a retail Prestige Pro 16x19. Head should think about releasing that in the future,

Which frames were you using before the new prestige pro 2021, the TGT293.2 is also worth a go if you are looking for a more spin and depth but still with great control. It's ashame Head never released a 16/19 pattern frame that had the same layup as the prestige older MP from IG and onwards as the pro versions while still good frames were always that bit stiffer.
What tension are you stringing the Prestige Pro 2021 at. I have been using the former 360+ MP version but need the swingweight measuring as I think they are a bit light compared to what I expected them to be.

Head already sort of made this racquet

Graphene XT Prestige S
98 sq-in (think those molds were actually still 95's)
22mm beam
62 flex
16x19 pattern

I had one early on in my tennis playing and it was just too low-powered and demanding for a developing player. Probably be nice now though, if only I hadn't sold them....

I've considered this one. Would be easy to customize into a perfect spec too.

And this mold is now used in what is called the Prestige Tour (I think).

I've just come back from a 7 year break from tennis. I used to play with the "OG" Graphene Prestige MP (2014), which I used between ages 13-15. Now many years later I wanted to try new racquets, as I want more pop. I demoed a few racquets (Wilson Blade 16x19, Pro Staff v13, Yonex EZone Tour, Radical MP/Pro, and the Speed Pro 2022), and the Speed Pro 2022 was my fav of the bunch. Still much preferred the more scalpel-like feel of my old Prestige. Hence, I ended up getting the new one hearing loads of good stuff, along with the true 98" head (more forgiveness and pop).

Still figuring out the tension for the new Prestige. Got it done at 23kg first with Luxilon Element, but was sorely missing spin potential. Then went down to 22kg with Head Lynx Tour, but couldn't keep it in. Ended up at 23.5kg with RPM Blast/Luxilon Element, which was great. Think I'll be doing 23kg with softer shaped spin strings like Head Lynx Tour or Hyper-G.

Sounds nice. 310g retail weight? A leather grip, maybe some silicone, and we have a nice balance point too...

Actually think it was 305g, so good amount of room for customization. Definitely needed lead though, very much a platform racquet.

No, the new Prestige Tour used to be called the Prestige Pro. A 95sq-in and heavier weight.
Not sure where or what the Prestige S was because all the S models now are oversized, I believe
That's what I meant. The now-tour used to be the Pro for a few gens. Not a bad idea though, to get one of the earlier softer Pro's, or the S's. It's now gone I guess. The MP-L i significantly different.

Yes it's tricky to me also coming from the older prestige to get the right amount of power and control from this newer sized frame. If you only came onboard with the graphene prestige mp you could also have a try with the IG Prestige MP and the iprestige which I am sure you would enjoy. We are always searching for the next big thing though and many of the frames you demoed all allow you to play good tennis with less perfection. I still stand by the prestige as being the racket that demands excellence from the user. If you don't give it, the racket let's you know. Maybe the newer prestige is a bit easier to tame though.

I've been eyeing the IG and i. Prestiges. However, I honestly love the feel and response of this 2021 version, and feel it has some great spin potential for an 18x20 98 inch. Think I'll just keep hitting with it and lok for a possible deal to test the Gravity Pro.

OP, if you are looking for the prestige feel (box beam), up to 21mm beam, 16x19, you have a few options:
1) TGT345.2. I have seen a few floating around on the other (string) forum. Very similar/same layup to the Auxetic Prestige Pro
2) Prestige MP-L. It is slightly firmer but not stiff. Great feedback and excellent racket and platform as it is lighter, lower SW.
3) even though the Prestige tour is not box beam, it is an excellent alternative in 22mm beam. However, the SW is higher.
4) older Prestige Pros (Innegra, 293.1, MG 238.2 or YT 238.5) are great prestige frames too

I did demo a gravity pro for a couple of months and initially was amazed how easy to hit with it was, I couldn't miss off both wings however once the ball was near my body and I played some points when time was sometimes not there, I found the racket worlds apart from the prestige in handling, maneuverability was very poor for me in comparison to the IG MP which I was using alongside it. I've heard a few say it's heavy on the arm too but I will let you be the judge of that. Its worth a demo but for me the handling of the racket is like a blade which is not something I personally like.

I have the option to get a Prestige 360+ Pro for $100 which would be an amazing deal. Lower SW, so I might go for it.

How «firm» is the MP L? I demoed the Radical MP, and while it was honestly quite nice to play with, I didn’t like the crispness, and hated the hollow «ping».

The Auxetic layups don't have the hollow feel in them. I found the MPL to feel softer than the Radical MP but the best part was that they are very communicative (great feedback), like all prestiges.

@dr325i, do you or anyone know what happen to that (string) forum? It was not accessible for a long time because of security setting kind of stuffs?

The stringforum is just fine. I guess the owners of the site must either be inactive, or think it’s fine to be on the old security? Just find a browser like DuckDuckGo (will let you straight in), or Safari (you can ask to go through) that you can access it with.

I am intrigued to try one of these prestige MP L rackets out? I have used an IGMP for many years now though so am used to a slightly heavier racket (SW 320ish) I like the even balance ish also of 310mm would I need to tail weight the MP L a little to achieve this, I may need more weight anyway. I also see there is a MP but 320mm is too far off where I am with balance, but i like the sound of the 18/19 pattern as generally I prefer a tighter string pattern with a flat hard hitting shot. The difference being maybe the IGMP takes a lot out of me physically to hit with if coaching for longer sessions, i do like soft feeling frames also but understand this often results in you having to put more effort in but I guess the tweak could be the more open pattern for a bit easier power as long as I can get the tension right.

Is there a pro stock Head model with 65 RA unstrung layup similar to Prestige Tour (2021), 16x19, 315-320g unstrung, same balance, 22mm beam, similar thuddy feel, but with a 97-98 head?
