Prince Phantoms time frame?

Following up from the sneak peek with Chris, just confirming a timeframe for the new Phantoms to be launched?

Is there any further information at this stage?

100P has been shown elsewhere and the 100x with Chris, do we have any exciting changes or additions after the likely axing of the 97P?

stephenclown,

We are expecting them to launch on April 22nd. The line will consist of five racquets including the 100X 305, 100X 290, 100X 18x20, 100P and 107G.

Thanks,
Brittany, TW
Does this mean that the 93P is no more? Or will it be continued in the 2020 iteration, or refreshed on a different cycle?

At this time, Prince is not making the 93P and 100G LB for this launch. I am unsure if those models will be available in future generations at this time (I haven't heard of any plans at this time).

Thanks,
Brittany, TW
Sad to see the 100G get axed as well.

the new 100X (290 and 320g) are on the TW Europe site if you want to get a better look.

Hi Brittany, will the phantom 100G still be available to purchase after April 22nd?

Troy is my North Star. I know he likes solid frames.
Troy I must know: what is your pick between the Phantom 100P and the Phantom 100 18x20…
Sorry for the delay in response. Man that is tough, I think if I am going completely stock then I would probably go with the 100X 18x20. It feel pretty solid in stock with little reason for me to want to add weight, and whatever issues I might have had with launch angle (since I have played a lot of 16x19 type of racquets in recent years) I think would go away with time, and adjusting string gauge (thinner poly and lower tension). That said the feel of the Phantom 100P is really nice, I prefer the feel of it over most racquets on the market. That said I think it needs a bit of help with power, so maybe some weight added to the hoop of the racquet could help with that. There is definitely an easy launch angle, and plenty of access to spin with the Phantom 100P; also nice on the slice but maybe a little less connected feel on those flat forehands compared to the 100X 18x20.

So I guess in terms of solid, the 100X 18x20 is a bit better in stock form, but potential issues for some might be spin/launch angle, and maybe needs a little help opening up the sweet-spot. The Phantom 100P on the other hand has great feel (thin box beam) and easy spin/launch angle, but potential issues could be lacking put-away power, and possibly hard to gauge on hard flat groundstrokes.
