Pro String Tension

I've noticed from a number of posts that pros are stringing at a lower tension than before. Is it because of poly strings? I string looser due to poly strings from being so stiff and also to get some more spin. What do you guys think?

djoker, nadal, murray, roddick, blake, del po, all string it 60-70. strings 45-55. so most go high, and djoker uses a poly as well.

As far as i am aware, most of these tensions and string brands are up to date: http://www.colinthestringer.com/pros-strings/

Colin is an extremely good guy but his players reference tension page is not exactly "up to date"....

he is most likely in the 60s. Of course Roddick, blake, do low 70's/

No it's not...Richard always strings at 24/23Kgs. that's roughly 53/51, no matter where he's playing...ah BTW Blake strings @66 on clay <and 68 on hard surfaces> and A-Rod is lower @62

Nadal's tension is 55lbs

i have heard he will string up to 65.

ive seen members of the forum often state that they, the americans, string in the low 70s.

"I have seen" and "i have heard" are NOT actual facts. The tension pro stringers give are. They work on pros actual sticks and strings, and they keep record of every stringjob done (at least, it's what I and other fellows pro stringers do).

Ah..and i'd like to know the source for the "future" tension of Nadal...maybe the same source knows strings and frame, too..however his ACTUAL tension is 55, and that's what was correctly stated.

And excuse me if i'm looking rude...i can understand you're a tennis FAN, but since you're giving away incorrect infos, at least go to a good source (USRSA/RSI is one)

Regards,

Mario
