Pros' string of choice w/o much money (maybe when they were juniors)

Hi.
I've been wondering about what strings what most of the pros would use if they didn't have unlimited resources. I mean, w/o money to use full gut and gut(mains)/poly(cross), and also preferring more long-lasting strings, using it until it breaks. Maybe something like this occurred when they were juniors.

Question 1: The pros that use hybrid string jobs, would they prefer to use a full poly or poly(mains)/synthetic gut(crosses)? For example: Djokovic would prefer a full Luxilon ALU stringbed or a Luxilon ALU/Prince Synthetic Gut
Question 2: Would they use poly strings that have good tension maintenance (some new polys (4G, ...))? Or would they continue using older polys (like Luxilon ALU) even though it will not be so good until it breaks?

String logs of high-level junior tournaments would probably be really helpful to aswer these questions.

Thanks

I volunteer at the Junior Nationals each year. A lot of players already have sponsorship in some form. It's been two years since I worked the check-in tables but I remember Solinco had a slight presence among "unfamiliar" brands, Luxilon, RPM, and mostly big name branded strings that went along with the racquets brands being used. Wilson and Babalot were by far the largest racquet brands and strings (of some sort - Lux being Wilson) being used.

To do a hybrid setup with gut mains is tough to replicate cheaply. So the first question is to ask yourself if you want poly mains or something else.

If it is poly, the best hybrid IMO is poly mains and syn gut crosses. I have been using this for years, it feels great , and the spin and control is fantastic. The total price of the string job is $6.50 for me as well, so that is a bonus.

I played USTA juniors with full prince syn gut , so the poly mains are a luxury for me.

I use polybreak and forten sweet. Thats just what I like. Id suggest looking at polys that are $12 and under and a syn gut. Try forten sweet and prince synthetic gut.
