I love it, as it has great feel, but I prefer the Artengo due to extra power, stability and spin. Less feel( yet still great) and similar control at half price.

Yes, the latte, I have one. Good racquet, great string/pattern bed but naturally needs some weight. I have mine with a bit of weight on the handle, a leather grip then some weight @12.

You mean the TR960 control tour?
I have heard that it's underpowered.
If it's more powerful than the PK, then PK would be really underpowered

Neither one is underpowered but both need some weight to play at their best.

You heard wrong Sir, TR960 control tour has tons of power, almost like a Babolat.
Try it yoruself, new it's only about $100.

It only needs 1g at each 3 and 9 o'clock, while the PK needs more, starting in the handle.

TR960 and PK are at the same price in my area.

Power is quite subjective. I used to play ultra tour in stock form and it was powerful enough for me.
But now I want to have more easy power that I can focus more on control.

Power I mean: PO7, pure aero, clash, blade...etc
Underpowered: C10pro, ultra tour, gravity MP

Plus I want to maintain the static weight within 320g and SW320 (which is my PO7 specs)
The TR960 has not much room for customization.
PK seems to be a good platform and adding 10g to handle would bring it up to the same specs as my PO7.

@foggie Neither one is a tweener i.e. PA, PD, ezone 100, extreme MP, etc. So not that power level, they have more thinner beams and extenuate feel and control more than a tweener category racquet. However, again both have good power with some weight customization and are still pretty maneuverable.

I haven’t yet hit with the updated 2022 Ki frames which TW has on their website but would be interesting to see where this line of frames sit compared to black ace station frames and Q Tour frames. The Ki10 which PK invented even before Babolat was a thing in racquets with such racquets as the Destiny series is something worth reminding ourselves how active PK were as innovating manufacturers from Taiwan.

Although I have two PKs Ki5 (@Crocodile as well) in the sales section, I can not, in good concience reccomend it over Artengo TR960 lol
Powerwise, the latter is close to Blade Pro v8 or a Babolat and most people play it stock. A couple of us added only 2g at 3 and 9.
It has 305g unstrung, so if you add a string (15-20g) you get to your 320g.

PK Ki5 2022, on the other hand has the best feel ever and is the third racquet of my choice (after BP v8 and Artengo TR960). I can generate power with it as well, like you said. And with the Doppio, the PK Q + 5 Pro (that I also posted in Sales btw).

Very intrigued about this. I wonder TW will carry the Artengo as last I checked you couldn’t get it locally here. The PK Ki5 2022 must have improved a lot. I wonder how it compares to the black ace pro

You may want to ask in the holics threat or at least @JGads about the comparision.

I got 3 Artengos 16X19 one from US and 2 from Germany, on the sales forum here.

I wonder whether another company builds the frame for Artengo? Artengo also has a stringing machine available,

I only care if I should play with the Blade Pro( hefty) or with the Artengo LeGads( magical to yeld), can't make up my mind yet.
I am going to try and track down an Artengo and do some testing. A lot of people have a positive opinion of this frame and a few also like the Furi Arma pro 98. We need to have diversity in brands, makes it interesting.

Re: Ki295 and the Artengo, it’s an interesting comparison. They are both fantastic racquets. The PK is more forgiving, you really have more real estate to work with and feel like it’s a bit easier, don’t have to be so fine. However it’s very controlled, I always felt like it was like a PK Prestige. ... The Artengo, while not as forgiving, produces a meaner ball. There is more action and pace and the Artengo glides through the air faster for me, I can generate racquet head speed easier on serves and groundies. The ball just ‘runs’ a bit faster. ... and the short angles you can carve with the spin-friendly pattern are outstanding... So, this is why I kept the Artengo and let go of the Ki5. They are both good frames but I wanted to focus on the Artengo which is I think just a bit more rewarding if you don’t need the extra real estate of a 100si frame.

The ball runs way faster for me with the Artengo "LeGads", people compare it to a Bab. Besides more spin it is also more stable, somehow.
I need to have it my hands (and I own two PK models, both great racquets and now BP v8)...

Finally had a chance to test the Ki 5 295g.
It's an underpowered racket, similar to the gravity MP.
I can feel the racket absorbed a certain amount of energy if hitting hard.
Easy to swing, and same to other underpowered rackets, can still generate decent power if swing fast enough, but that's about the player's stroke, not the intrinsic properties of the racket.
Not feel soft, and not crispy, it's very muted.
It is lack of feedbacks (the kind of feedback that the ball is like staying on the stringbed, and you can feel how the strings work on the ball) compared to traditional control rackets (PK Redondo, Wilson ultra pro, gravity etc).
Despite the more open pattern (16*20), its spin potential is lower than some 18x20 rackets (TF40, ultra pro). Similar to the Redondo I have used for few years.

Maybe adding some weights would fix some of the problems. But this is not the racket I'm currently looking for.

Yes we added weight in the handle and hoop, some of us and liked it much more than stock.
