Proline II vs Topspin Concept Pure

Currently play Kirshbaum Proline II and like it but thinking about trying Topspin Concept Pure (seems like an intriguing new string, and cheaper too). Any opinions out there? Thanks.

Concept Pure is a very good playing, softer poly with good spin control. It loses about 20% of it's tension within a few hours, and then stays the same for about 2 weeks, then it goes dead, like most polys. I'm stringing it at 68#, but I live at altitude, so you might want to stay in the low 60's if you are playing at sea level.

could you elaborate? what makes PLII better or different? what is or was your set up with PLII?

Simply did not have the feel, spin or touch. PLII is a pretty great string, and the only one that I have played that can match it (well aside from Luxilon stuff but that is just too much) is Gamma Zo Twist, surprisingly.

Concept pure is "good" but the upper tier of polys is pretty small, but again that's just my opinion.

If you like PL2 and don't think it's too expensive I can almost say without question don't bother looking for something better. I guess that's personal opinion again though. :p

well the forum can only give you the general characteristics of the strings, only you can find out which one suits you more, go try them. String preferences are so subjective that one might play like crap's crap to you but worths gold to others.
