Protection Tape that won't take off paint!

Does anyone have any suggestions of what type of protection tape can be used that does not take off paint? I have tried Electrical tape (for it's low weight) and Head Protection Tape and they both seem to have the ability to take off paint. I currently use the new ProKennex Ionic Racquet. Electrical tape took the paint off my Prokennex 5G. I don't really want to add additional weight.

Any suggestions helpful!

Thanks

Protection Tape

I use Babolat Supertape. I have never experienced any paint flaking off my racquets. It may add a bit of weight, but not as much as the regular Babolat head tape or Gamma tape. Hope this helps.

I use Gamma guard tape, 1 inch wide. It doesn't take off paint, just leaves some glue residue behind.

thats what i use too. looks like a wide roll of scotch tape, and works great.

the only drawback about gamme guard is that after u first apply it, it will still loosen from time to time. After a good 2-3 days it will eventualyl stick to the bumper well tho.

Hi all, bit of an old thread but hopefully someone will see this. I've recently bought a Prince Beast 98 o3 & Tour 100p. The Beast I've noticed has a clear lacquer/paint that's flaking in a small area of the head where I'd applied some electrical tape to try and protect from bumps/scratches. My responsibility for not checking beforehand, but has anybody used any protection tape successfully on Prince rackets without causing the clear paint to flake? Thanks
