Queens Club commentators absolutely ripping Roddick:

These commentators have said that the top 4 guys have "brutally beaten" Roddick this year... and said that his problem is that he keeps trying to change his game too much... one guy said that Federer kills Roddick this year.... as a fan, i am surprised commentators would say this...

Roddick lost to Nadal in to tight sets 6-4, 7-6
Roddick has beaten Djokovic including a 6-3, 6-2 spanking
Roddick has played Federer pretty close this year. Both Masters matches went to 3 sets, and their AO match was actually pretty close; Federer just raised his game at key moments

Anyways i am shocked that commentators would criticize Roddick for loosing to the top 4 players in the world, becuase most players dont even get to play the top 4

Federer is a terrible matchup, Nadal is just too good this year and last year, and Murray's been very consistent and is a great returner. Roddick came close to Federer (by his standards at least) in both Madrid and Miami, and beat Djokovic twice. Commentators are idiots. Andy's having a great year so far.

andy's is playing great this year, the best I have seen him in a while.I expect to see him go deep in Wimby.
The requirements for being a tennis commentator these days, seem to be less and less.I wonder how much they get paid.

Roddick hasn't been "destroyed" by the top four any worse than any other sub-top-four player. In fact, I believe he is the only player on tour who holds at least two career wins over all four of them. This year, he has beaten one of them (Djokovic) in a Slam and a Masters Series, and nearly beat Federer in Miami in a match in which saw him suffer from terrible luck with net chords on a couple crucial points. His only year-to-date losses to the top four which have really been lopsided were the Murray match in Doha and, to some extent, the defeat to Federer at the Australian, though the second and third sets of that encounter were both tight.

well they are partly right in the sense that he is trying to use
a-1 hander
b-drop shot
c-serve and volley

they've watched the Federer playbook against Roddick
1-block the serve back
2-give him a short reply as a result he comes in
3-pass him because he doesn't approach well and he leaves 1 side or the other wide open
4-make him play 5 extra balls
5-drop shot him

have you watched his match against
Federer in Australia?
Nadal earlier in the year? He'd get passed over and over
Murray toyed with him too in Doha
Djokovic did that too until he sun got to him or whatever

rinse and repeat:lol:

look he usually beats those he should beat and he always loses against the top 3,that's the bottom line

I do not mean to be offensive but this post is laughable.

It was only PAT CASH said Roddick has been beaten brutally, ALL of the other commentators disagreed and said he was a contender for Wimbledon.

Again, I don't mean to sound harsh but a whole thread on something which is essentially a lie, the other 3-4 commentators spoke in length about them thinking how Roddick is a contender for Wimby, and PAT was the only one who ripped roddick
