Question regarding racquet balance

I hear alot about 3 points head light ect. But I have no idea (for example)where 3 points is. My question is where is even balance? If I used my finger to balance the racquet where should I put it? And lastly, 1 point = ?
Thanks in advance.

Even balance is when the racquet balances in middle (this depends on the length of a racquet). On a standard 27in. long racquet, an evenly balanced racquet would have a balance point at 13.5inches. Don't use your fingers to balance your racquet. It won't be accurate. Use a balancing board or a dowel to balance it. The balance point is wherever the racquet balances. To determine the balance point, figure out where the middle of your racquet is. In this case, we'll use a 27'' racquet. Find 13.5'' on your racquet and make note of it somehow. Place the racquet on a balancing board. If it happens to balance 1'' above the 13.5'' mark on a standard racquet, it is 8 pts headlight (I think an inch= 8pts, correct me if I'm wrong).
