Folks,

The Yonnie RDS 001 MP was one of my faves from some time ago (which is no longer available). Is there a current racquet that plays very, very similar to it (swing weight, static weight, balance, stiffness and overall feel)?

Ur advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Jk.

Successor Yonex rdis 100 MP.
Although there will be some differencies, it should play closer to rds than any other stick.

seemingly clear-rdis 100 mp! stiffness can be added by attaching a few centimeters (7-10, no more) of lead tape to the throat.
generally, yonex very special rackets, other brands have not seen anything close

Yep, I agree. Used both. Played exactly the same for me. RDIS did feel more muted and softer but the end results were exactly the same.

I thought the RDIs 100 Mp was superior in feel, comfort and power over the RDS version.

I would agree with that statement. The RDiS was simply easier to use. Feel is subjective. The RDS definitely felt rawer and stiffer.

Thanks, all.

I seem to have difficulty sourcing the RDiS 100 MP here in Australia. Is the Vcore 98D the replacement for the RDiS 100 MP?

I'm not sure when in Oz you are but you should be able to still source an RDiS as I saw them around only the other month.

I played with an RDS001 for a season and quite liked it at the time. But I think my tastes have now changed. Another racquet which is fairly similar is the Technifibre 320 VO2 max.

You could buy one right here on TW and have it shipped for a less than what you'd pay in Oz or I could sell you mine (L2 grip with SilverString) that I have literally used for 2 hours. Drop me a line if interested.
