Racquets similar to PD

I recently hit with a PD w/cortex and loved it a lot. I was very surprised how much easier it was on my arm compared to the original PD. I was able to hit every shot with pace and spin with ease. Before I go off and buy a few of them though I was wondering what else I should demo that is similar.

I loved the maneuverability and topspin that I could generate with the PD over the "players racquet" that I currently hit with.

What else should I look at? I already plan on looking at the PD+ as I think I would benefit from the longer length.

You could look at Head's version - Extreme and Extreme Pro. Prince's Speedport series ( red )

I heard that Babolat and Pro Kennex are from the same mold.

They are not from the same mold; however, Babolat purchased the Type S mold design from PK for the PD. You can easily tell by the design of the PD that it originated from the Type S.

BTW, my main doubles racquet is the Type SX, and it does feel much more solid than any PD I've hit with.

^^^ I thought the Babolat was from the old Destiny mold, which the Type S replaced

Yes it is more solid and it doesn't hurt your elbow

Because of the success of the Pure Drive, there are now about twenty racquets on the market with 100" heads that weigh around 11 ounces.
