Exactly. Let's see the circumstances before calling her heartless.
but this is TTW lol
Exactly. Let's see the circumstances before calling her heartless.
I guess hiring a coach may be like purchasing a new underwear. The richer the player gets, the more expensive the underwear is.Raducanu has swapped coaches many many times since the age of 10. It works for her.
2004, no?
And then he went to Safin's box at the start of 05 and guided him to that epic win against Fed.
This def doesn't sound mutual. Someone got fired."Obviously having such an experience with your team, it's tough to have that conversation with anyone," Raducanu said. "But I need someone who's had that professional tour experience.
"I think for me it's just really what I need. And especially right now because I'm so new to it, I really need someone to guide me who's already been through that."
"I feel like at this stage in my career, and playing the top players in the world, I realised I really need someone right now that has had that WTA Tour experience at the high levels, which means that I'm looking for someone who has been at that level and knows what it takes," she said.
Richardson, 47, first worked with Raducanu when she was a 10-year-old at the Bromley Tennis Centre.
Raducanu will now decide on what tournaments she will contest for the rest of a whirlwind season with the Indian Wells event a possible option.
"I'll decide in the next few days where I'm going to go to but wherever I play next I'm going to make sure I'm ready. I don't want to jump into things too early," she said.
Tennis-U.S. Open champion Raducanu splits with coach (msn.com)
Has she ever beaten a top 10 player?she won the us open without dropping a set
maybe she doesnt even need a coach?
Yeah, but there are still much higher status coaches out there she can now have. She could hire Hogstedt or Groeneveld. They have far more experience than Richardson at training slam winners.
Not really. The OP is jumping to conclusions with the thread title. "Splitting," from a coach is not necessarily the same thing as firing a coach. It could be something as simple as the coach had a contract that ran through the US Open and then ended. Emma may have simply decided not to renew the contract. The coach may be perfectly fine, but I applaud Emma for striving to be even better and choosing someone she thinks can help her achieve that. As far as I can tell she isn't doing anything wrong so I don't understand the criticism over this. It's a cold world out there
Osaka 2.0?
She would've been better served to go for this lookIt didn't take long for the ruthlessness behind the smile to reveal itself.
There was none of this coaching nonsense in my day. Spot of tiffin, a swift Brandy, a couple of swings of the racquet arm and off you go.She would've been better served to go for this look
I hear she's filthy rich now. There was none of this coaching nonsense in my day. Spot of tiffin, a swift Brandy, a couple of swings of the racquet arm and off you go.
59% win ratio… it’s second to none@Kralingen Tim Sherwood to get the coaching nod?
Not that clown. He is useless and cluelessReasonable decision. Mouratoglou is free and available.
Could be argued if you have kept the tutor, you would not have began to struggle again...Sometimes people do fire people who made them successful, it is no big deal.
I was really bad in Maths at age 4th-6th grade and then my parents hired a tution teacher when I was in 6th grade, he taught me math in 7th grade as well and my grades that were barely 45% (below 40 was fail) in the 6th grade soared to 75+ in 7th grade and by the 8th grade it touched 96%, I then fired him at the end of the 8th grade because I knew my concepts were too strong now, I could survive without him and later after 10th grade at junior college level I would need to take coaching for engineering entrance exams, so I would see what to do then .,.... but I knew the 9th and 10th grade I could manage without tuitions so did that and later would seek more professional help.....
I guess Emma is at that point where she needs a different coach who knows what it means to coach someone full tour, so a more professional help is needed, that is why she and her old coach might have come to a common level agreement that it is time to part ways.
Could be argued if you have kept the tutor, you would not have began to struggle again...
I never struggled in maths after 7th grade and even today I am extremely good in Maths.
However after 10th Grade when we go to junior college (2 years) we have to take coaching from professional coaching classes for the engineering entrance exam that come after junior college, those exams are called IIT Joint Entrance Exams (known as IIT JEE) to get entry into engineering colleges in India, so that is a mandatory thing. However my 6th/7th grade teacher could not have helped me with the problems for the engineering entrance exams.....
So that varies, same for Tennis, players after winning slams have to step up to the next level, maybe thats why they fire coaches ..... there must be some logic after all ...... nobody does that because they become too cocky and arrogant
Mouratoglou has Coco, Tsitsi and Serena. He's a very busy man.Uncle Toni, Cahill, even Judy Murray. But please not Mouratoglou.
Reasonable decision. Mouratoglou is free and available.
This is what is so disconcerting.
Nobody (including me) commenting here knows what it's like to play (let alone win) a major, let alone to do it at age 18, just a few months after completing her exams with honors.
She gets through qualies, and sweeps all 7 of her matches in straights.
Not only that, but she doesn't sound a false syllable along the way, dealing with mass media to the proportion she never had come close to facing. Has any athlete hit the world stage with so much grace, poise and intelligence...and at age 18? If so, I don't recall.
So, we get clowns here - clowns who can hardly form coherent or civil thoughts without any pressure, from the comfort of their homes or workplaces, misspelling her name, accusing her of being heartless and of getting a big head, with some already writing her cautionary tale.
Just incredible.
Has she ever beaten a top 10 player?
It didn't take long for the ruthlessness behind the smile to reveal itself.
In pro tennis coaching careers; even if win a GS title, you can get fired the next week! Happens to Richardson, Sascha Baji, Lundgren, Becker, etc... I would have stunk with Richardson if I was Emma!
Can someone tell me what's wrong with Mouratoglou? All I know is his youtube videos, Academy and coaching well-known players!
As for Emma I don't blame her even if it was her decision. Her position is difficult and tricky and she's starting to show that. She won and great things are being expected from her. I have no idea who she'll vibe her well.
I never struggled in maths after 7th grade and even today I am extremely good in Maths.
...
SW not gonna be there much longer.Mouratoglou has Coco, Tsitsi and Serena. He's a very busy man.
Most certainly you aren't.
Because why then you "Seles was better than Graf" fixation?
You could've picked literally any kind of object which can be owned for this comparison but I appreciate the fact that you went for Raducanu's underwear.I guess hiring a coach may be like purchasing a new underwear. The richer the player gets, the more expensive the underwear is.
Uncle Tom is Rafa relative!Obviously it must be absolutely new to be going through everything she is, especially so suddenly and at her age. On the one hand it's not surprising she's making this change for a more full time professional feel, and on the other hand as a Nadal fan I can't ever imagine Rafa leaving Toni after '05. Obviously I have no clue and in any case they're different people, different players, and in different times so it's literally impossible to judge. Honestly I just hope she stays on track and gets literally anyone not named Patrick Mouratoglou, that man represents everything wrong with tennis atm.
Never try going through the qualifying tournament to win a GS title! Emma should hire back Richardson! And that's why you are not slam winning material, son...
Wow, looks like I've been remembering things wrong all this time...I swear I remember seeing Lundgren in Fed's box in 04. Mandela effect, perhaps? The end of 2003 is when Federer parted ways with Lundgren. Safin and Lundgren started working together in April 2004.
So that varies, same for Tennis, players after winning slams have to step up to the next level, maybe thats why they fire coaches ..... there must be some logic after all ...... nobody does that because they become too cocky and arrogant
He answers everyone on Facebook. He must not sleep.Mouratoglou has Coco, Tsitsi and Serena. He's a very busy man.
Wow, looks like I've been remembering things wrong all this time...I swear I remember seeing Lundgren in Fed's box in 04. Mandela effect, perhaps?
Fun side note: Lundgren's first coaching role was with Marcelo Rios, but he quit saying that "he needed a psychologist, not a coach." Which pretty sums up everything there is to know about that enigmatic player from Chile.
