Raising Money to Build Local Courts - Ideas?

I live in a small town in Georgia that's trying to raise money to add 4 more clay courts at our public facility. We think the city and the county are on board, the USTA will help, and hopefully a local foundation will be generous. However, we still need to raise some money. Does anyone have any creative ideas?

We're going to try to get some corporate sponsors, we'll send a letter to the local league players, and we're going to sell brick pavers with people's names on them. Anything else we should try? What worked in your area?

Thanks!

bricks are a great idea...how bout something else along these lines like plaques or if someone is able even a court or something named after them

if all else fails then a bikini carwash

sell everything you can put a name on! Design-wise, it makes for a REAL sens of community.
Benches
Net post plaques (could really go for a lot since many would just use the name on the plaque as the nickname for the court!)

^^^ What's with the triple post, talking to yourself??

Selling named bricks are good. Court name rights are good as well.

It increses the effect when you spread it out like that :)

Serious now. People around my neck of the woods will rent out the fire hall and have a dinner of some sort. Alot of time its Spaghetti dinner. usually charge like 6 or 7 bucks. then they set up a money wheel. they can usually make a couple grand that night.

You can also hit some businesses to donate some items that you can hold a raffle for. That actually worked pretty good for us in Hawaii. we got more donated to us than expected. Best Buy, Circuit City, Chilis and a few of the larger places gave us a ton of gift cards.
