do you find any challenge of moving from a 98" head to a 93"? is it a more difficult frame to hit the sweet spot? I found the BB 11 mid excellent when I had all cylinders firing, but a challenge if I was tired or had lazy feet.
Hey Basil J,
I play with the Legend with a TW leather grip plus one overgrip. I really like 53 gut or multi in the mains and 50 textured poly in the crosses. Great plow through, feel, and topspin capacity.
As a side note, after reading through some of TennisMaverick's thoughts on the PB 10 Mid, I've been trying this lately in place of the Legend, and I have to say that I'm just loving the seemingly effortless power of the PB 10 Mid with the same string setup described above. This thing just cuts through the air so easily compared to the Legend and it allows for all of the shotmaking and feel that the Legend does.
Good luck!
Ben

Try two grams in the V-Throat and just under two grams on the bridge(cover the center 10 mains) and see if it doesn't feel less clunky.
With that being said, your precision apparently allows you to play with a 93in2. If you have a more longitudinal stroke, then you will like the PB 10 Mid's plow thru.
are you suggesting the weight on the throat & bridge for the legend or the PB10? I lost you ....
Just got done with the poly hybrid. Not loving it. Really took away all the cupping or dwell time that I enjoyed with the multi. I strung at 50# mains and 53# crosses and the multi just plain felt better. Maybe it needs to settle in. I played one set with each frame and I did not lose anything with the multi, but I lost feel with the hybrid. Next I may try some VS gut. I am hoping that I can get away from poly all together, I am just really used to it even though it's a love hate relationship.
Okay, so I made some mods and retsrung with 16G vs gut @58#M/17G tourna multi 56# crosses. For some reason I lost weight when moving to the attiva pallets so I added 5 grms on the top of the grip and have 3 Grams total at 3:00 & 9:00 in the hoop.My frames with overgrip now weigh 12.2 oz strung and are 7pts HL. The ball is now coming off the string bed with great acceleration and decent spin, but with much more of that "pocketing feeling" I love with the Cap grometts. The gut shined on serve and at net providing effortless power and good control, but off the ground I was hitting a few balls long that I normally would never miss. As the workout went along I got dialed in more and really enjoyed some of the "flick shots" when spread out wide, that I was sending back deep that would have normally been dumps into the net. My backhand was working fine as was my forehand, but my opponent did tell me that my shots lacked the usual weight & spin I have with poly, but I think as I get dialed into the set up I will find my range and swings that work best with this set up. I have not tried adding weight to the throat as of yet, because I do not know what that will add to the frame, so if anyone has done that with success, I would be eager to hear your results. Because VS gut is so expensive, unless I start really playing poorly, I plan on leaving it on and appreciating it's shoulder friendly qualities as long as it lasts.
First off let me say I really like this stick, Except for some odd reason, I just can't hit my 1HBH with any authority. It feels like there is too much flex. All my other shots are pretty solid and I have .500 record against some good players using this frame. I have 3 and am keeping one because I like it enough to hit around with, but, mentally I just do not have the confidence on my BH side that I normally do.
Right now I am testing a Dunlop 200 tour which I am finding is heavier and more solid overall. The open sting bed is something I am trying to adjust to and typically don't like, but the overall performance has been pretty good. I am 4-2 with the tour, and only really felt my first tinge of shoulder pain after a 2 hour match yesterday. I think i will either try move to the 200 tour, or just go back to my trusty Ki5's, which have no wow factor at all, but allow me pain free tennis, and I am very comfortable picking them up at anytime and playing competitively with them. I played against a melbourne wielding opponent last week and he was crushing the ball and he said that he felt the melbourne was much more solid overall than the legend, but I really can't afford a bunch of new sticks right now. i was a longtime 200G user and I want to give them another look.
I'm getting a lot of vibration in my Legends and wasn't expecting that from the specs. Bought 4 frames!! A leather grip and lowered string tension have not helped, the arm pain still persists. Going back to my K90's. Love the Becker bag tho.
Thanks for the suggestion TM. If I don't like the tour, I will give the melbourne a try. Just picking it up the other day, it felt much more solid and a little heavier than my legends.I know what you're speaking of, and that is what was fixed in the Melbourne. I would suggest that possibly .3-.5 grams at 12:00 as one last try before selling them. With the money you make, I would seriously suggest the Melbourne. The Legend does need mods to play well; the Melbourne is awesome stock.

Put 2 grams at 12 and the frame played very well today. am rethinking this frame now since I played so well with it today. I may go into my round robin tourney leading with a becker tomorrow..
Tm, I am still referencing the legends. The tour I have is a dunlop 200 tour. I now have 5 grams on the handle 2 grams at 3:00 & 9:00 and 2 grams at 12:00 and the frame was producing a nice solid shot. Overall weight si 12.4 oz, 7pts HL. Volkl polym/volklgut crosses at 53#/55#. I am playing my modified legend in the tourney this afternoon.
