I am trying to get a better racket for my son, 13 year old. he is currently using this

I think there are much better options. Looking into head grapene 360+ gravity lite as an option.

Looking for some other recommendation as well.

I have yonex ezone 98 if anyone from DFW is interested in trading for head grapene 360+ gravity lite or something similar.

Any racket weighing 11oz or more, with a SW around 320 or more and a balance of 4HL or more will do as long as he likes the feel. Personally, I think a 13 year old can use a regular model and doesn't need the team or light model. My view is it will be better for their health and game in the long run.

He could try a Blade, Ezone 98 or 100, VCORE 98, PD or AP regular model at 13 years old. Any of these would be good. TF offers some good frames too.

What's your definition of 'better'? My 11 year old son uses a 270g frame which is just right - when he is 13 jumping up to about 285g is likely the next step but really price will drive my decision. Any 100 in frame with a tweener beam size from a reputable mfr will probably be fine. If you look at the clearance section of the major online etailers you have some decent options. I just got my kid the older generation Dunlop SX 300 lite and he's been pretty happy with it.

You might consider a Blade Team. https://www.wilson.com/en-us/produc...Y0hhpmv1VE3FdOehoC2KwQAvD_BwE#covertype=52592

Thanks for the recommendation guys. Actually he is 11 and will become 12 next Mar.. lol shame on me.. bad dad..

the reason why i think there are better options is that I swung that babolat G. There are other rackets that feel much better. I am concerning that anything well over 300 will hurt his arm. That's the only concern. Otherwise, he would be using my blade 98 or ezone 98, which i think is around 315 to 320. I could be wrong. i want something around 280 with good stability and comfortable for him. Babolat G didn't feel right when i used it. was good last year and now for him, but i think there might be better option for his age.

Rs295 or tt290 are super solid fast light and fully performing rackets. I play with ez8 but tried the rs295 was very impressed

The head speed mp lite or the new head speed mp L 275g is very popular with juniors and works great. It has the same beamsize 23 mm and stifness as the head speed mp so one could transition between those easily by adding some tungsten tape gradually. It is a very all around racquet with some power but also control. Dont go for the head speed speed team just because it is 285 g it is thicker 25 mm and stiffer.

thanks for the great recommendation guys. I'll look into them... i can find out his height, weight. he is skinny, i don't know skill level. he is not pusher, he has modern swing with top spin.

i most likely get one of those recommendations through a trading for my ezone 98. so, multiple options allow me to find one easily.
