Looks like this will be a repeat of RG2011. This is not a jinx thread. Just stating things as it is. Faster conditions and Fed takes out the only threat Nole in the semis just to have the privilege of handing over the trophy to Rafa in the final.

Fed was never smart in picking his battles with Rafa. He has this unique ability to sabotage his own legacy. Stan in final would atleast have a 75-25 chance to win this title. Now Fed has close to zero chance.

Dont be fooled by his interviews, previous round matches. He never fails to disappoint in a slam match versus Rafa. It has been set in stone by now. With this momentum Rafa would be sitting on 16 slams by the end of RG.

Way to continously brand your legacy as a mental midget against your biggest rival. Nobody outside select tennis lovers remembers your damn weeks at No.1 or WTF trophies or insane consistency . All that matters is winning the biggest hyped finals against your rival. Thats what people tell their grandkids stories about. Fed fans prepare yourself for the barrage of threads dissing the GOAT's legacy come Sunday.

Federer's legacy is set already and it's ridiculous to suggest he should tank a match just because some anonymous internet users believe his opponent would've stood a better chance against his toughest rival. Roger himself being the ultimate professional he is would be mortified to read such comments and at the end of the day, reaching a slam final is always better than going out in an earlier round.

Federer is there to enjoy his tennis. Not to lose to Player X so that he can go on and may beat Rafa......If that's his purpose, he might as well join TTW and create Nadal jinx threads with his followers.

When you will be aged 50 and so out of the game. The things that matter will be your relationship with your supporters and your contribution to the sport. 15, 16,17 or 23 won't make you sleep any less or more.

The thing is Fed knows and believes that he doesnt stand a chance against Rafa. This has been proven beyond a doubt now over the years. Rafa is a great champion too, Did he not tank matches early in career to avoid Fed? Being smart is also a characteristic of great champions. Unable to win big finals against Rafa time and again doesnt bode well with his legacy. Whether Roger cares about his own legacy is upto him. The world certainly wont consider him a GOAT anyway for being a mental midget against your biggest rival.
