Replacing head bumper guard help please

I purchased a gromet / bumper guard set for my head LM radical MP. Any tips on replacing?? The original bumper appears to be glued on. Should I glue the replacement down as well or just string over it and let them compress it?

no glue. the strings will hold it down plenty

if you have a stringer's awl, it'll help a lot in setting the grommets in

a blow dryer comes in handy as well. heat up the grommets a bit and they'll be easier to work with, though that's not really necessary, but just in case you have any problems.
