Can anyone tell me the name (model) of the new shoes Roddick was wearing on Monday evening at the US Open? (Also maybe when they will be available at Tennis Warehouse.) Also, is ther anyone in the US that carries Sergio Tachini? I'm looking for a shirt like Juan Carlos Ferrero was wearing on Tuesday.
Thanks

JimB, TW said they're called the 3D Match Play. I posted about this topic towards the end of July and back then TW told me 2 weeks. So I'm guessing any day now.

TW also mentioned to me about a shoe called the I Pump, and maybe that is the one that Roddick is currently wearing because they are the same shoes as the ones I saw him wear at Indiannapolis, but with a different color scheme.

When I called monday I was told it's called the Court Victory and that it won't be available. I can't understand why Reebok would not choose to sell these. Stupid marketing decision if you ask me.

The strange thing is, I found the following article on the internet, which seems to contradict some of the information I have been getting:

CANTON, Mass., Aug. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Defending US Open champion and Reebok sponsored athlete, Andy Roddick is taking New York City by storm. Kicking off an integrated marketing campaign surrounding the US Open, Reebok features Roddick on billboards throughout the city. On August 24th, Roddick will host a press event at Reebok's New York store to debut his new Reebok apparel and footwear collections.

"Reebok celebrates the return of the defending US Open Champion, Andy Roddick to New York with a press event and an innovative advertising campaign," said Dianne Hayes, Reebok's senior director of global tennis. "We are excited to debut Andy's state-of-the-art tennis apparel and footwear and to launch innovative ad campaigns featuring some of the world's greatest athletes outperforming in their sport."

Fan favorite, Andy Roddick is featured in a series of billboard ads along the Grand Central Parkway, Midtown Tunnel, on the boardwalk leading to Arthur Ashe Stadium, and in Herald Square. The campaign, part of Reebok's global performance marketing platform featuring some of the world's greatest athletes, will also include a fleet of mobile billboards in areas in and around Manhattan. In addition, Roddick debuts this month in a print ad in key publications such as ESPN, Tennis Magazine and the US Open Official Program.

Designed and inspired by the tennis ace, Roddick's Rbk Crew features Reebok's innovative PlayDry moisture management technology in a white/black/indigo grey graphic print. The Rbk Crew will be available on August 24th for a suggested retail price of $38. Roddick will also be launching his Momentum II Cargo Shorts in black, white and indigo grey colors.

Featuring a style-driven "board short" look, the Momentum II Cargo Shorts will be available on August 24th for a suggested retail price of $45.

The perfect "match" to his apparel collection, Roddick will debut Reebok's Court Victory Pump tennis footwear during the US Open. Hooking up ideally with the apparel, the shoe features a white/black/indigo grey colorway in a retro design. An old-school bring-back from back in the day, Reebok's Court Victory Pump has been especially re-engineered for Roddick to play at the top of his game. A mid-cut version of Roddick's shoe will be available on August 24th in a white/citron colorway for a suggested retail price of $125.

At a mere 21 years old, Roddick has quickly become a leader in professional men's tennis. A recent recipient of the 2004 Espy Award for "Best Male Tennis Player of the Year," Roddick is the reigning US Open champion and current No. 2 world-ranked player.

Reebok International Ltd. , headquartered in Canton, MA, is a leading worldwide designer, marketer and distributor of sports, fitness and casual footwear, apparel and equipment under the Reebok, Rockport, CCM, JOFA, KOHO and Greg Norman Brands and footwear under the Polo Ralph Lauren Brand. Sales for 2003 totaled approximately $3.5 billion.

I called the NYC store. The guy I spoke with told me that Roddick's shoes won't be available till the holidays at the earliest. He also wasn't even sure if the same color would be available for sale when they do go on sale. They currently had the old michael chang shoes from '89 for sale.
