Roger Federer to work as BBC pundit at Wimbledon next year?

He will have to admit that Rafa and Novak are better than him, so he won't be commentating till they retire.
He can't really admit that since it seemed he was dominating Rafa in their more recent battles. And Novak tilted the battle towards his favour when Federer was already past it.

He is also very knowledgeable about the game and has insights into players.
Federer probably won't have much insight if the discussion involves how to convert break points:-D

1/17 in the RG 2007 final.
1/12 in the Wimbledon 2008 final
4/23 in the USO 2015 final
Lost matches while having 2 match points in 3 different matches against the same opponent (USO2010/2011, Wimbledon 2019)

Does he really want to be there when Djokovic wins 8th Wimbledon title? Might be too much to bear, imagine Federer crying as a commentator lol.

Well...that's still a million times better than what Djokovic's brothers ever did. Especially the younger arrogant one who claimed he was going to be greater than his brother Novak :D
Did Djordje actually ever say this? I can only remember Srdjan spouting that nonsense.

Lol what an idiot. Only reason he ever even got the chance to play professional tennis was because Novak got him wildcards.
It was not Djorjde who said it but Jelena Gencic, Novak's first coach. And the brother who received wildcards, the most notorious from Dubai tournament (I'm not sure about any other wildcards, tbh) was Marco.

Djordje got wildcards for junior tournaments in 2011/2012 where he wouldn’t have qualified for given his ranking at that time. He also played Doubles with Novak on a wildcard in Peking 2015.

It was Djorde that said it. He said he would be better than his brother. Although he didn't specifically mention if it was Novak or Marco. :-D

They broke all his records, so he would need to do this ASAP if his commentary was to be taken seriously by anyone.

The other guy got to the third round of the US Open in 1987, pushing Becker to 4 sets. He also lost in 5 sets to Wilander in the second round of 1986 Wimbledon, eating a tasty bagel in the fifth set.
Your knowledge of tennis history continues to impress me!

I forgot that the 2008 WB F was such a poor performance from Roger on BP :D

But beating Federer in Finals is only impressive if he's not a fraud

If you're correct about Fed then he is a mug and therefore not a good test
Not at all, he kept improving. By his 30s he was definitely not operating in fraud territory, which it's important to point out, only you have said he was.
