Roger Federer's rare moment!

I know this is a bit old, but I recently found this and it's a bit funny too. Of course we've seen Roger yelling to his opponent, chair umpires, or fans in the crowd, but we've NEVER seen him directly saying something like this to his opponent's camp.

Now, some people think Nadal talks with his coaches during matches, but there are some people who DISRUPT other players, and ARGUE the points in the middle of the match while sitting in the player's box. Not classy at all!

He's not as bad as he was in 2006. His arrogance back then was outrageous. He's mellowed since then from all the beatings by Murrovic and Nadal.

I wonder what they were saying?

And God said "let there be light" and there was light; and Fed said "Be Quiet" and they were quiet

they were probably saying something not nice that turned Federer off.

Ah, I've found out why:

At a tournament in Hamburg, Djokovic's father has stormed into a Belgrade radio station simulcasting a match and berated the commentator for failing to support his son with the appropriate vigour.

But the big snap from Federer came when he was playing Djokovic in Monte Carlo. If it wasn't captured on video, no one would have believed it. Federer requested the umpire take a look at a mark beyond the baseline.
He circled what he thought was the spot where Djokovic's ball had landed. Dijana and Djokovic's father, Srdan, were talking loudly in the front row. Loud enough for Federer to hear every word.

They were claiming he had circled the wrong mark.
Federer spun on his heels and snapped: "Be quiet, OK!"

I'm curious as to how Chiro reacts to this, is this also a troll? :)

It must be difficult to live with such hate.

I don't get this over- analysis. Fed just said be quiet and we all act as though he's got a SMG and took potshots at the Djokovic's. I doubt he even remembers it himself or has any ill feeling towards Djoker or his family. He's said that himself more or less. And let's stop the hating on Djokovic's family- sure they're a bit loud and brash but it's not like every tennis family is like the Federer's.

Ha, this tit for tat in general pro section is amusing, Nadal fans make threads about Fed's questionable behaviour, then Fed fans retaliate, then Nadal fans do it again etc.

Anyway, Nadal fanboy, this is some pretty old news, it would be akin to me making a thread about Nadal calling Berdych stupid in 2007 or something.

Why is he less arrogant now ?? He has always been arrogant, people can't change the way they are.

What? Can you tell me why this is something federer did wrong? Unless ure blind its not hard to realize this is djokovic's parents fault.

Also, do you think calling Nadal a player with silent ban is not attacking?
At least I brought something true with the video. What you say is full of assumption and bs. I would call you a troll because you write anything that would help djokovic bring up either its mocking other players with false assumptions.

And the relevance of bumping this NOW is... I know: point out the contrast with Djoko's clan super classy behavior at W. Some people are able to learn and evolve positively. Good for them. (notwithstanding the fact Fed was the one out of line in that episode...)

I take it as a compliment. The day when the hatred stops flowing is the day when Djoko will stop being a threat at the top. I'll take jealous fits over commiseration any day. More power to Novak

Federer was arrogant back in that day in his game basically. He just want to beat every top opponet in their own game. That's why he refused to attack Nadal's backhand or trying other tactics that he employs nowadays. Back in 2006, Federer tried to beat Nadal on clay in a baseline to baseline contest with his backhand. That was his worst mistake actually. He could have beat Nadal on clay in 2006 because Federer had the tools and skills to do it if he would have employed other tactics instead of trying to win almost solely with his backhand.

When Novak has 18 slams there will be no more hate. Only acceptance. And excuses.

I am sure he cares about what you and I think as he sits back in his 60 million dollar house with his 9 figure bank account and adoration from millions of fans all over the world. And 17 slams.

How does he sleep at night? Oh, that's right. In a bed bigger than your house.
