RPM Blast/Addiction hybrid from Babylon

RPM Blast/Addiction hybrid from Babolat

This combo is offered by my indoor tennis club, but I haven't seen it discussed on this forum. Trying it on a 116" racket, wide string pattern, 16g @ 58 lbs. Addiction crosses, RPM Blast mains.

Looking for comfort, spin, playability. Is this the ticket?

Nobody? Babolat website says the Addiction is softer, offers better longevity

I haven't used the hybrid, but I have used both rpm and addiction. rpm is to me a nice ( above decent, below great ) poly, and addiction is a low powered multi at high (60 lbs and above). rpm is not a smooth poly, and addiction frays quickly, so you might want to use the rpm as the main, but this would negate the cushy feel of addiction. hard to be sure without trying the combo, but i would prefer excel and pro hurricane to this combo, both for spin (with excel in the mains) and longevity. hope this helps.

Addiction does fray fast (most multis do) especially in a large frame with poly mains. I would opt for a standard syn gut cross rather than a multi or go with full bed of Addiction.
