Ryan harrison's racquet?

another up and coming US player and I was just wondering what racquet he uses. I've seen pictures of him using a wilson racquet, but recently it looks like hes using a babolat pure storm limited racquet. I hear hes recently signed a deal with babolat so it could possibly be just a paintjob.
I was just wondering if its a real babolat or just a paint job?

I thought the Babolat Pure Storm Limited was a very nice playing racquet. I certainly would not compare it to a wood racquet. I thought the PS Limited had a very muted feel.

Which racket did you think had more power ? Pure Storm or PS Limited ??

And thats bad??? Hmmm getting more feel and control is a negative??? the last thing the kid needs is power at his level - I tried the frame out and it is a solid, fairly heavy (at least for a modern frame) stick. Yes you do have to generate most of the power but again at the pro level they want control.

Agreed. Once I added lead to the 3/9 (the stock form was too HL for my tastes), it's a solid frame and it's great for hitting consistent, controlled and deep groundstrokes.

I believe he was using a wilson k90 tour before he switched to the bablot. I think he now uses the PS limited.

I believe both Harrison used to use Pro Staff 6.0's. I think Christian still does. Does anyone know if this is true, or is he with Babolat now too?

they are both with Babolat. racket head shape is definitely Babolat.

:mrgreen:I teach at Newks where they train. He def plays with PSL. He was doing an exo.the other day and I picked up one of his racquets. def a PST leather grip w/ one OG. 3/8 I think.

he had just had it strung at the US open ( they had the us open sticker on the little sticker w/ tension and string , cool :mrgreen pretty sure it was 64 lbs. PHT or lux/ vs gut crosses.

Christian uses it too, don't know his tension or string , I do know he hardly ever misses a shot :shock:

so i guess the swing weight was too light for him ?? that is understandable. for a fairly heavy racket, the stock frame's swing weight is surprisingly low, like 316-318 or so. most pro level guys want SW of 340 or so.:shock:

Also does he have a small hand ??? 3/8 seem small to me..

I'm not sure on the 3/8 but I'm pretty sure it is 3/8 with one overgrip. Maybe it was 1/2 though. hmmmm guess I can't remember. Feel the bevels really well. He is very much a hands player so maybe he likes it a little small for more whip.
