Aww sorry to disappoint you. There is one clip on YouTube where they have an 8-minute collection of Safin's racquet-smashing moments caught on camera.

MELBOURNE, Australia -- Marat Safin's crack about the Australian Open's tournament referee being a cigar-smoking bureaucrat has cost him $2,000.
Safin was cited for verbal abuse Saturday after an on-court outburst during his losing third-round match Friday against Andy Roddick, when he complained about being told to play despite small puddles of water from a rain shower outside the double lines.
Tournament referee Wayne McKewen examined the court and insisted play resume, prompting Safin, who won here in 2005, to gripe to chair umpire Pascal Maria: "The guy comes in, never in his life plays tennis, and tells me it's OK. I could be slipping. The guy is sitting there, smoking a cigar..." Safin finished the sentence by mouthing an expletive.

My friend and I have been trying to figure this out. Some of our theories:
-Maybe Pascal's nickname in the locker room is 'Charles.'
-Maybe Pascal's middle name is Charles and likes to be called by that.
-Maybe Marat said 'Pascal' but the audio picked it up as 'Pashcharles'

I love Safin and his spontaneity and all, but I do think he went too far. As far as I know Wayne McKewen (sp?) has a very good reputation as a chair umpire and as tournament referees, and I don't think he would make decisions that jeopardize player safety.
Oh well, he paid $2000, I guess he can say what he wants.

"Going crazy" and being frustrated are two totally different things. He's obviously upset with that wrong call, and he wants to explain himself to better understand the situation. It's much better for him to do that, than to keep it all in while he's playing as an underdog. Hell, I'd b.tch at the chair umpire as well if I had to deal with that whole mess Safin had to deal with.

Safin is so honest , i luv it....he doesn't give a **** just speaks what he thinks...not many got balls to do that.
