Speed read the book and hammer lots and lots of practice tests, typical timeline is a month I think.
There's a lot of material to cover but, it's all mindless memorization, conceptually it's very easy. "Financial Advisors/brokers" pass this thing easily and they typically aren't the brightest bunch.
I was in G10 Fx research for a little and they stuck us in a class and gave us a week, I think we used STC which was pretty good. The last few practice tests are significantly harder than the actual test.
edit: forgot that you wanted tips. A huge portion of the exam is options and the rest is random laws.
