I once had an offer to go into a diving cage to view great white sharks and declined. This is exactly the sort of thing that I don't want to do.

The only time I have seen a shark while in the ocean was in La Jolla. I was body surfing with a girl and a small leopard shark swam near us. She assured me that they are common and never hurt anyone. We had a cooler with beer on the beach, and I suggested that we go back and have a beer. She laughed and said okay.
