So what is the swingweight?

I've modified a Prince Bandit OS. I put 13g inside the handle just above the butt cap using fishing weights in the V wrap method. Added a 1/2 sz shrink wrap to the handle adding another 4 grams. Put 4 grams lead at 3 and 9. This Bandit now weighs in at 302 grams (10.65 oz) strung and 8 pts HL versus stock of 281 grams (9.9oz) and 6 pts HH.

I know many formulas ahve been posted here but I keep getting different results. So can anybody tell me what the swingweight is for this beast now?

Thanks

You will need to provide more information.
First you need the distance to the balance point (from the handle end),
The mass (which you have given, 302 grams),
Then you need to set up a couple bars to hang the racquet on the edge of a table, and hang the racquet by the strings near the head. Usually the top or next to the top string.
Pull the racquet handle about 15 degrees from centermass and let it swing. Record the number of seconds to swing 10 times. Repeat about 4 or 5 times then give the average number of swings.
Also, record the distance from the edge of the handle to the pivot string (the string you are using to hang the racquet by.
So you need to provide;
Mass
Distance to balance point
Distance to pivot string
Number of seconds for 10 swings.
When you have that we can give you the swingweight.
Got all that????
You can also buy a Babolat RDC and get the swingweight from that. Only about $800.

I was afraid that would be the answer. :) Is there a ballpark SWAG method?

So a total of 8 grams at the shoulders?

Using TW's value for the Bandit's SW (337), the new swingweight is approximately 352. Does it really swing this heavy?

Note: RacquetTech.com lists the Bandit's SW at 311. I suspect that TW's RDC read a bit higher than others. My measured SWs read lower than TW's.

Where did you get this price? I've always thought that it's much higher than $800.

Thanks. Its actually a total of 4 grams (2 grams per side) at 3 and 9. Yes it does swing heavy. Its what makes it an appealing frame for folks like me use to playing 11.5-12 oz racquets. By changing the balance to 8 pts HL it stayed manuveurable while still being able to stand up to hard hit balls. I've been using it for doubles and have to admit its becoming my first choice for tough matches. Never thought I'd use anything less than 11.5 oz. much less an OS.

I think its the Mass of the racquet * amount of times you get P***ed off calculating.

I don't remember where I saw it, it was a used RCD, but it's the only time I've seen a price on an RDC so that's the measuring stick. Don't have one, and don't know what the price is new.

I like the formula but that would give this Bandit a swingweight of 700. :)
