Solution for narrow heels? Heel keeps slipping only on left foot.

I have Court Ballistics 1.2 I just got, they fit great but the heel on the left keeps slipping out and feels a bit loose. I have this problem with almost all the shoes I've tried. I don't like wearing extra thick socks or using custom insoles. Is there anything I can do? Perhaps a special way of lacing? Or is there a special type of sock I can wear that is only thick in the back but not the front? The shoe fits perfectly everywhere except the heel. Even when I lace it up super tight the normal way using the topmost holes it still is too loose in the back. I've tried about 10 different tennis shoes and all of them have this problem! It's very infuriating. Thanks!

My feet are just narrow in general, so I had this problem with the CB 1.3's when I got them. I learned a long time ago that if you lace them as shown in the picture below, they are a little tighter in the back. This didn't completely fix the problem, but it reduced it to the point it was a non-factor for me. I didn't have any more heel slippage in these shoes after they were broken in after about a week.

Thanks you guys! Really appreciate this advice.

As to the link posted, out of the 3 lock-lacing methods, which do you think would be best for the heel slippage issue on tennis shoes? Thanks muchly!

I use the first variation from the link, and I have never tried the other two. You might run out of lace if you go with the third option on there, and the first one looks like it would be a little more effective for heel slippage than the second.

Toad, did you find your yellow CB's to run small or true to size? thanks.

If anything I thought they were a tad big actually, but the shoe I was using prior to this one was a New Balance MC 803 in a B width, which might be why I felt these were a little big. I believe TW recommends ordering a half size smaller, but if I were coming from a normal D width shoe to these, I don't think I would feel much difference.

Purely based on length, I would say they seemed to run true to size. They do take about a week to break in and get comfortable though...I got blisters the first couple times out with them, but haven't had any problems since.

I have only tried the first and it works great so i didnt see much point in trying the others!

My foot is really narrow, so getting a size smaller would be the best thing?

It's a toss up really. I would probably go with your normal size though because the length might be to short if you go a half size smaller. If you know a place that has these shoes in stock, I would probably go there and try them on so you know for sure before you order. I went and did this at Dick's Sporting Goods (they didn't stock them in the store, but I had them send my size and a half size smaller to the store for me), and I found that the half size smaller was to short for me.

All this being said, if you have narrow feet, I would really highly recommend getting the New Balance MC 803 in a B width over the Nike CB's (unfortunately TW doesn't carry this though). The only reason I decided to try the CB's was because I go through the 803's in two months and am trying to find a more durable shoe for me. It's still to early to tell for sure, but I don't think these will last me much more than the 803's did, they aren't nearly as comfortable, and they don't get as good traction on the court as the 803's do. Unless these shoes last me 4 months (they won't), I won't be purchasing them again.
