Spadea on Quite Frankly

Anyone catch Vince Spadea on Quite Frankly Wednesday night? I was clicking on ESPN2 during commericals of the Roddick/Hewitt match & he was a guest on the show with Method Man, the host Stephen A. Smith & Dr. Boyce D. Watkins, author of the book What if George Bush Were A Black Man. Everytime I put it on, Spadea just sat there totally clueless during the conversations. Granted much if not all of the topics were NOT sports related (& in fact anti-George Bush), but when he did answer, he usually answered with such intelligence as "I need to read USA Today more often", or "Um". Even Method Man was more opinionated & eloquent. Spadea had his namesake jacket on, truckerhat & sunglasses on, so he definately was dressed for the part lol.
Now we know that Stephen A. Smith is very controversial & obnoxious (as Spadea can appear to be at times), & I wasn't sure of the purpose of having a sportswriter do a non-sports topic show, but did they put Spadea on as a guest b/c of his controversial new book?

Anyways, this confirmed what I've thought about Vince Spadea for the last few years: His name should be Vince Spacecadet.

Yeah, but unlike the rest of you, he has a book he's promoting.

Did he discuss that in the promo???

It's getting a lot of locker room heat, from what I'm reading???

Well, unlike donkey-boy, suprisingly, Spadea is still alive in the US Open; mixed doubles. He could've mentioned that on the show, it would have at least provided some legitimacy to the program that it was 'current'.
