St. Vincent Identification

Hey Tennis fans,

I came across the message board and it seems really good and informative. It has some pretty amazing pictures and information. Specifically the racket I am interested in is the St. Vincent racket "Wilson Prostaff 6.0 Original 85". You see I found a seller who might have a St. Vincent racket, but I am not sure if it really is one or not. He is far away.

So anyway, I was wondering how I would go about emailing him to find out if it really is a St. Vincent racket???? The only idea I came up with is to ask for the Bar Code ID # that all the St. Vincent rackets supposedly have. (but maybe the bar code is only used inside the factory...)

If it's possible, a response sooner rather than later would be MUCH appreciated, because I have to buy it in under 5 days. Thanks in advance!

The two primary telltale signs are a "Q" in the three letter code on the buttcap and red primer under the paint. Generally, St. Vincents come with or without bumpers, although the thread below seems to dispute that.

If there is a barcode/hologram it's not a St Vinc... Q in the but cap code is one way to tell but sometimes it's too faded to tell or the butt cap might have been replaced. Ask for close up pictures of the inside of the throat area and post them here.
