Stefanos Tsitsipas Is An Exquisite Specimen

Even a broken clock will show the correct time twice a day, no?
But I feel that Tsitsipas will take his revenge sometime next year.

Hardly. From what I saw in Barcelona Tsits is technically accomplished and physically fit, has a good build for tennis (tall, lightweight, long arms and legs), but as far as his game intellignce is concerned, he does not have any. He won't beat the likes of Nadal and Federer, if he doesn't learn to use his brains (if any).

This is like so racist. Like.... systemic xenophobia AF. Triggered! Needing a safe space. Yer lidrelly hitlar.
Next you will tell us he just wants to drink coffee and ouzo all day, and eat pastitso. What other southern european/Mediterranean traits can we rag? He is not good with money. He likes the beach too much? This half russian malaka will stay in his mother's house until he is forty?

Lol! Kidding. Here's to more Tennis IQ on ths talented kid! Ela Stefanos!!

It's good to see Tsitspas, representing Greece, rather than being a second generation/overseas player,
He is home grown, although a nod must go to his Russian mother who I suspect has provided a genetic link, and maybe a mind set which has contributed to his success

As my adopted country, Greece has a good climate for playing Tennis all year round, and it is becoming more and more popular, Tsitspas comes from a tennis playing family where a lot of focus has gone into the sport, and not the only ones I have heard of in recent times.
Maybe Greece will be a force to be reckoned with in tennis in years to come, who knows.

He's lost his last three tour matches. Color me unsurprised. Tennis has a horrible tendency to overhype players after they have one good tournament. Tsitsipas is nothing.

He had 2 good tournaments, not 1. Lost finals to this guy called Nadal. Also off course he is nothing, lots of nothings have beaten Djokovic lately.

Go to bed.

Honestly, can this dude GOAT any harder?

The sneer alone speaks volumes. Orlando Bloom took up the racquet too late.

I dont find this man so good - I have no idea how he has beaten RBA and Fed. That must be extra luck. From the point on when Tiafoe show some spectacular moves vs Dimitrov.... other matches (except the one in which Rafa was pounding) were slow and boring.
I am very sad Tiafoe didnt continue his journey. I am so dissapointed. I was waiting this Tiafoe-Nadal match so much and then nothing really happened.

Stefanos is worth looking at. His head, features, shoulders, and torso have a size that attracts attention; their proportions to each other made an effect which in any male at any place would justify more than the term handsome - in his later years, he is likely to become to be known beyond his local world, the word "Roman" will be used in descriptions of him.

His legs bore out the striking and agreeable proportions of his body; and his lightness on his feet, his erectness, his easy bearing, add to the impression of physical grace and virility. His suppleness, combined with his bigness of frame, and his large, wide-set rather glowing eyes, heavy hair, and markedly bronze complexion give him some of the handsomeness of an Indian. His courtesy as he surrenders backhand advice to fellow players suggests genuine friendliness towards all mankind. His voice is noticeably resonant, masculine, warm. His pleasure in the attentions of the bootblack's whisk reflect a consciousness about clothes unusual in an Greek man. His manner, as he bestows a tip suggested generous good-nature, a wish to give pleasure, based on physical well-being and a sincere kindliness of heart.

jesus christ, get a room already.

It's like taking out the trash on a bright and sunny morning, with birds singing. :)
Right! It's one of those things that's so easy to take for granted. Sometimes you just gotta stop and smell the kaffe. (y)

Kyrgios is part Greek, Kokkinakis too. The Greeks are suddenly coming to the fore in world tennis!

Edit: Actually they're just getting their second wind! After all, Sampras, Philippoussis and Baghdatis already flew the flag for Hellenic tennis decades ago!!
Don't forget certain other players with Greek last names who played in Federer's era. Names that will get me a permanent ban if I dare speak them.

Absolutely. There is something gratifying about taking out the trash right? Especially when it is toxic. (y) :)
Most assuredly. Life's a little short for that mess!

Hard to believe that it carried on for quite so long... but we turn the page, right? (y)

Greek guys ?
They've got a real proud history and all. And some wonderful historians and such.

What happened to their hair, though? Sure, Stefagoat worked an angle.

Used to be cooler though.

Tsisyphus. Wait no, Tsitsiphus. Jon Wertheim will use that for his mailbag at some point in the future.

Why will the word Roman be used? Is there anything better than being called a Greek god?
