Hi guys, a year ago I decided to stop buying racquets and stick with just one frame..... but didn't work!! hahaaha.
I was using a MG Rad with some lead to make it more head light but looking for a frame with more plow and power, moved to a Volkl Organix 10 MP... once I little bored from the X10 and reading some great reviews bought a PCT.. so now I have 3 different frames again!!
Results, I had some great results with the 3 of them, and also some very bad days, it feels like I have 2 options, play really good or really bad.
Here are my impressions on them:
1. MG Rad, great frame, easy to swing and play with. I get tons of spin with it regardless of the tight string pattern. Is the more confortable one. But sometimes I get pushed around and I don't feel like my shots make damage.
2. O10, is the most powerful of the pack, feels heavier and more stiff. Still very confortable. Some times I feel I'm hitting late to the ball. Although it has an open string pattern I find myself hitting flat and I don't get the spin I get with the others. Great frame when looking for winners and when I'm on a good day I feel I can push my opponents all the time. I find very hard to hit my 1HBH with top spin, it might be the grip but I make many faults sending balls to the net.
3. PCT, I got great results with this frame, nice feel, has enough weigh to avoid being pushed around, it's still a confortable frame, I don't get the same top spin as with the rad, but definitely better than the O10 on that item.
My impressions are:
Power: O10 > PCT > Rad
Control: PCT > O10 > Rad
Spin: Rad > PCT > O10
Confort: O10 > Rad > PCT
Baseline game: PCT- Rad > O10
Net game: O10 > PCT > Rad
Serves: PCT - O10 > Rad
As always these are my impressions, my intention is to stick with only one of them and get one more to keep in the bag or trying a new frame as the PS95 or Speed pro.
Before going to the shop I would like to know if you have tested these frames, what are your impressions and which setup would you recommend for the O10 and the PCT.
